Snorkelling heaven! - Thanks to the crew for a wonderful day trip to the Reef and the MOUA. With calm conditions and great visibility, the snorkelling was first class! The staff were amazing and very knowledgeable, making you feel safe and comfortable both in and out of the water. The catering was great. The whale sightings were an added bonus this time of year. 10/10!

Wonderful and Safe Snorkel Experience - I took students on a snorkeling excursion with SeaLink and it was phenomenal. I travel with students often and I have never had such a positive experience. They were incredibly knowledgeable and well equipped to support students of all swimming and snorkeling ability. Additionally they take safety very seriously. I have snorkeled with students on many trips and I have never felt more comfortable putting them in the water knowing they had an in-depth safety briefing, well trained guide team, and multiple lifeguards looking out for their safety. Will definitely be back.

Outstanding cruise and snorkel adventure. Wonderful experience, all professionally run, great friendly experienced crew, - Great time, wonderful snorkel, brilliant professional and friendly crew. Let down by very substandard lunch. Only issue with the entire day which was brilliant apart from the measly offering. For $325pp we had a great day but expected at least something nice (as advertised)

Day Trip to Orpheus Island from Townsville - Started the trip to Orpheus Island from Townsville at 8am, check in from 7am. Cost was $155 per adult, children $105. The vessel is very comfortable and commentary informative. Takes about 1 1/2 hours from Townsville to Orpheus Island. Morning tea of fruit, tasty small cakes and tea and coffee is self serve and delicious. Arrived at Orpheus at around 9.30am, crew were very attentive and had good advice for first time snorkelers. On arrival at Orpheus there is a pontoon and a jetty that takes you to the beach. Not a lot of shade but we managed to find some and the beach is very narrow. We took our own snorkelling gear as we are keen snorkelers and there was equipment and stinger suits for everyone. Crew demonstrated how to use goggles and snorkel. The water visibility was not good but that's the way it is on the day. The only fish we saw were little once hanging around the pontoon and absolutely NO CORAL. We were very disappointed as were were led to believe there would be fish and coral to see. I do not see the value of this trip as I can go to Magnetic Island and snorkel around to the left of Alma Bay or Horseshoe Bay and see fish and coral. Back on board at 1pm for individual lunch packs, consisting of a sweet slice, grapes, a small salad (either potato or pasta salad), a roll with some sort of mayo chicken paste and spinach leaves. Lunch was ok except for the roll, tasted very bland and minimal filling. Tea and coffee provided once again and free water was available all day. On the way home the bar was available for alcoholic drinks and soft drinks. Good ride back, arrived in Townsville around 3pm. Lovely sunny day and the water kept you cool. All in all if you think you are going to go snorkelling and see fish and coral, this is not the trip for you and it will disappoint. The crew were very good and all lined up to say goodbye to us as we disembarked the vessel.

Great staff, well organized but - The day was great. The staff was wonderful and very, very knowledgeable and friendly. I would only recommend this trip if you had your own snorkeling equipment which is the reason this was not a five rating. Their equipment just was too small and suitable for adult adults and especially men. The mask looked like a children's masks and I spent most of my time clearing my mask. I was not alone in this problem. It would have been worse had a I not been a long time snorkeler. The snorkel had a purge valve, but the purge valve was defective. The stinger suits that we put on were definitely not big enough for most of them men on the trip. Having said all this, the reef was beautiful, and there were many fish. And I can't reiterate enough just how great the staff was. I would do this trip again, but only if I took my own equipment.

Very, very dissapointing! - Very, very disappointing. We travelled all the way from Norway to Sydney, and planned a two-day trip with overnight stay and a domestic flight – solely for this experience, which turned out to be by far the most disappointing thing I have encountered on any of our trips

Can't Ann wait 5 minutes? Seriously? - We had come all the way from Sydney to go on a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef. We looked forward to this, but when the day came, we tried to book a taxi which was unfortunately too late since they had no one who could drive. We arrived at the terminal 5 minutes too late - we had called in advance to say we were Max 10 minutes late - but they absolutely couldn't wait. Just thought it was really awesome that we had paid so much and cheered us a lot, and when we end up being 5 minutes too late they couldn't wait. Had we been 30 minutes too late I would have overcome it, but it was talking about Max 10 minutes which in reality turned out to be 5 minutes. We ended up having to find something else to fill our stay with as we came mainly for this trip. In addition, we lost 7000 Norwegian kroner which we did not get anything back for since we were 5 MINUTES too late. Never booked here again since there is always a chance of something happening and you are a little late (and if something should happen then it is stupid for you). Don’t recommend booking here unless you’re 100% sure you’re not even a minute late. And plan to be there very early because it's hard to get a taxi in Townsville.
