10/10 as the kids say! - My daughter and I spent an afternoon at this beautiful, and authentic, Hamam. This did not feel like some touristy spot. From the moment we arrived we felt like VIP’s. We were escorted to our little changing rooms and given our towels for our Turkish Bath and foot massages. The most relaxing experience. Loved the foam bath and scalp massage. Worth every penny! Would recommend this place. The gift shop also has some yummy soaps and beautiful Turkish Towels.

Authentic bathing experience fit for a Sultan - We were a little apprehensive as to what to expect but watched a video on their instagram page which gave us a good idea. The baths are over 500 years old and utterly splendid. The staff are really attentive and the whole unique experience was very relaxing. There’s nothing quite like a bubble massage. The session is rounded off with some refreshing Turkish delight, tea and nuts.

We had the package where you hang out on the warm stone first, then a person scrubs your whole body, then soaps it with a light massage. Ends up with a hair wash. I felt like a baby who is firmly taken care of. Bring cash for tipping in the end.

Made me feel like a Sultan - This is a more comprehensive review and my second attempt as the first one didn’t upload to the trip advisor website I had done quite a bit of research into Hammams and this one was within 20 minutes walking distance to my hotel and had good reviews and a decent website., It also offered the range of services that I was looking for at a reasonable price point.,I knew in advance that I wanted the basic Hassan experience of hot marble , scrub and then soapy massage … and the price would be 60 euros . I hadn’t booked and just turned up. There were three people currently being looked after at reception so I was directed to a waiting area for a few minutes where I was given Turkish tea. After a few minutes the manager called me over and we discussed what I would like. I have diabetes and gave a continuous glucose monitor on my left arm. I explained that it could get wet but but scrubbed or massaged and I was reassured that this would not be an issue. I was advised that I would need to wait for about 10-15 minutes before I could go in. After the time elapsed I paid my card ( they seemed to prefer the physical card as opposed to Apple Pay) I was then shown to my private changing area where it was explained that I could leave all my belongings safely. I was shown the towel, footwear and give the option to use the disposable paper shorts( which I decided to use) . As soon as I came out of the changing area the door was locked and I was given my key. I was directed to the toilet area and then shown through to the hot marble room where I was invited to lie down and make myself comfortable. After 15 minutes or so I was introduced to my therapist who I think was called Raswan. He was instructed by the staff member not to scrub or massage the top of my left arm where the CGM is situated. He assured me ge understood and that it was not a problem . He then took me through to another area where he scrubbed me hard with an exfoliating mitt . This was pleasant.. he then covered me in soap suds and washed/ massaged me. This was really good ( check out their videos con Instagram as they give you a good idea of what to expect! I have done a lot of walking recently and my calf muscles have taken the strain. Razwan really went to work on them and although quite painful at the time… he certainly did a good job as feel much better now. After being rinsed off and then given a hairwash I was invited to remove my shorts and given a clean cloth to wrap around my waist. He then wrapped a thicker towel around my shoulders and another one on my head and then showed me through to another area and advised ti wait 10 minutes. Another member of staff brought me a cold glass of water . Razwan came back to fan me with a towel which was nice and cooling. I then went to change and immediately another person took my key from me and located and unlocked my changing area. I left a tip in the envelope provided ( please note unlike what I deduced from reviews of other places there was no constant badgering for a tip) the envelope was a good touch and I was able to pass this to Razwan. I thought that this was the end of my experience but I was then show to another area where there was a tray with a cold herbal drink on it along with nuts, Turkish delight and more tea.,I then had a long chat with someone in a suit ( I assumed assistant manager) who had been there for 5 months. We talked about travel experience… and his conversation made for a good end to my visit. All in all the most amazing experiences. Everyone I encountered was friendly , kind and professionally attentive.. The customer care was outstanding and I would thoroughly recommend anyone to visit, by particularly if you are a bit unsure or nervous as I was! I left feeling like a modern day Sultan!

Affection like a mother & treatment like a queen - This has been one of the part of Istanbul - such a unique experience. You feel both like a baby and a queen being taken care of so well - scrubbing, massage, bath followed by snacks. Absolutely relaxing and affectionate experience. Bahriye did it for me and so beautifully.
