Sumela Monastery has so much history and history and you must try to come and see it!! - We had a wonderful tour with a very good tour guide, Özkan. He was very helpful knowledgeable and friendly.. accommodated to our needs and pace, offered options and allowed us to chose before deciding, I was a nice beautiful day and the Sumela Monastery did not disappoint… the views and the historic value and worth every effort to come and see it, Inwill recommend this tour and the guide Özkan was a plus!!!

The gems of trabzon - Ozkan was such an amazing guide. We had a fantastic time exploring trabzon with him for the day. He showed and explained so much about the city in that day that I doubt we would learn after a month of being in there. He made the town come alive with history and culture, and made sure to stop by and explain a few additional bonuses along the way. He was very kind and took our preferences in consideration as well. Honestly such a gem of a tour guide if you have the pleasure of spending the day with him like we did.

If you’re considering this, just do it it’s amazing - Request Özkan. Entertaining stories. I have three teenage daughters and all of them enjoyed his dialogue. Incredibly informative as well. Thoughtful. Definitely worth the value. He also assisted in advising me on other items that I want to accomplish while here.

Trabzon 2024 - Unbelievable day at the Sumela Monastery in the snow!! It was an amazing day tour. Özkan was an amazingTour guide and spoke incredible English, like a native speaker. He brought the history alive at all the locations. He was really encouraging on the hike in the snow at Sumela Monastery. I really enjoyed getting to know him and loves seeing Sumela monastery, Ataturk’s Pavilion and Hagia Sofia. We also shared a great and delicious lunch together. I had a great tour and just feel like I made a friend. I would recommend this tour to anybody, especially those who speak English and I'm thankful for the trip.

A Memorable Experience in Trabzon – Thanks to Ozkan! - Trabzon is truly a must-see destination, and our tour guide, Ozkan, made it even more unforgettable! Ozkan’s knowledge and passion about the place were exceptional.
The highlight for us was visiting Sumela Monastery – absolutely breathtaking! But what made the tour even more special was how Ozkan went above and beyond. Thanks to his thoughtful suggestion, we had the chance to visit a local market and explore Bedesten, which wasn’t part of the itinerary but still was an unforgettable experience.
We also got to try their anchovies and ended the evening enjoying tea and Turkish coffee with some locals, truly immersing ourselves in the culture.
A huge thank you to Ozkan for providing us with such an authentic and memorable experience in Trabzon. Wishing you all the best – we’ll certainly be recommending this tour to others!

Great tour for beautiful views and history - We had a lovely time on our tour with Ozkan. He gave us a great overview about Trabzon's history and importance both today and throughout Turkey's history. The Monastery and mountain area is beautiful! We came in October so it wasn't very busy, which was lovely. The lunch was really delicious and he gave us great tips for how to get into the city center using the minibus system for our other days here. The Hagia Sophia of Trabzon was much more interesting to visit with a guide that recognized meanings of different carvings and why they are there. The views from the overlook area where we had tea at the end of the day was gorgeous and peaceful. Overall, we recommend this tour!

Really enjoy this tour. Must go! - Very good experience in this tour. our tour guide ozkan, He is very professional, explained every details of the monastery and all the historical places. even bring us to a local restaurant for lunch, enjoyed the real Turkish food. And told us about trabzon history.
We recommend this tour company if you visit trabzon.

The location, the view... - The location, the view from the monastery was fantastic. Not for elderly, alot of steps.
-1 star coz toilet was not heated and not elderly friendly.
-1 star for our guide, too rush and was not paying enough attention to his guest and too serious.
Good enough but there is room for improvement.
