As the turquoise waters come into view, the breathtaking wild landscape will captivate you. Balos Lagoon features white sand and exotic waters in shades of white, vivid blue, and turquoise. The sea is shallow and warm, making it perfect for young children. In many areas, the sand has a charming pinkish hue due to countless crushed shells. Beyond the rocks at the lagoon’s edges, the water becomes deeper and cooler.

Gramvousa is renowned for its historic Venetian fortress, which still stands 137 meters above the beach. The fort was also used by pirates, and legend has it that a great treasure is buried on the island. The view from the top is breathtaking. If you plan to enjoy the 360-degree panoramic view, it’s a good idea to bring sneakers, as only a trail leads to the summit. Additionally, the old shipwreck abandoned years ago near the beach has become a distinctive part of the landscape, perfect for snorkeling enthusiasts.
