• Treis Elies - Visitors will be welcomed into the studio to explore a variety of significant dye plants and view samples of dyed fabrics from the collection. The session will include an introduction to the history and art of natural dyes, highlighting its connection to local flora and Cypriot folk textile traditions. Participants will have the opportunity to extract color from one or two local or seasonal plants. Additionally, a simple tie-dye technique, inspired by a lost mysterious tradition from a Cypriot village, will be demonstrated. Guests will create a vibrant silk handkerchief to take home as a keepsake.

This workshop combines history, ecology, craft, and science, making it ideal for participants of various ages, including children aged 5 and up. Attendees will discover fascinating facts, identify local plants, and explore their historical applications. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on creativity by crafting their own naturally dyed silk handkerchief.
