Its cultural heritage extends beyond museums, with architectural and artistic treasures enhancing the daily life of locals at every turn. Giuseppe Tartini, the renowned composer and violinist, was born and raised in Piran, leaving a significant mark on the town. His bronze statue graces the main square, alongside Tartini’s house, where visitors can view one of his violins. The Tartini Square is encircled by impressive buildings, including the ornately decorated Municipal Palace, Tartini Theatre, Maritime Museum, Aquarium, Marine Biological Station, Baroque House, and Apollonio Palace. Overlooking the town is the Church of Saint George, the largest and most significant church, offering a breathtaking view. Piran’s town wall, narrow streets, fishermen’s nets, compact houses ascending the slope, and the stunning sea create the sensation of walking through a painting. This scenic tour along the Slovene coast also includes visits to the coastal towns of Portorož, Izola, and Koper, where a guide will share insights on the main attractions, historical facts, and local traditions.

Great experience - Dean was a fantastic, passionate and knowledgeable guide or is fluent in multiple languages. It was a great day , but I would recommend an extra hour of free time in Piran as it was a bit rushed.

FUN-omenal!!!!!!!! - The company and the guide (Ernest, aka Erne) were glorious! They were more punctual than the sun, more professional than corporate, and more personable than your favorite dog.
Specifically, they picked us up at a super accessible centrally located spot, scooped us up in a roomy comfy AC van, took us across the border from Trieste to Slovenia, all the while delighting us with fun facts about the latter and the interchange between the countries.
Piran was a gorgeous mix of seaside lighthouses, churches, and castles!!!!! So much myth and lore and faith intertwined with cool architecture!!!! Gorgeous charming rustic alleyways with colorful doors and facades!!!! Inviting cafes, restaurants, souvenir shops, and nooks and crannies for a romantic kiss!! The wine tasting, paired with cheeses and breads and fish, was yummy and satisfying and homey!!! We even sampled honey-infused liquor at a local shop—— soooooo good!!!!!!!
As our First Lady’s home country, I believe it’s every American’s privilege to visit sLOVEnia!!!!!! Do it with this group 100000%!!!!

Visit Slovenia and go to Piran - Very interesting tour through the countryside and historical areas. Guide was helping us to understand past and present events in this complex region of Europe. Town of Piran was fascinating and local hospitality was very warm.

Great tour of the Slovenian coast - Our guide, Ernest Prislic was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the history and was able to answer any questions we had. He was always aware of the group and our safety. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable day. The only improvement would be to add an hour to the time so more free time could be had in Piran.

Fantastic trip with a fantastic guide. - Dean was a fantastic guide who put his professional and personal heart into our journey. Also standing at the church of St George with the panoramic view of three countries, Slovenia, Trieste in Italy and Croatia. It was breathtaking.
