After finding the ideal location, a campfire is set up, where your guide serves hot drinks, dinner, and cookies and explains everything that you need to know about the Northern Lights while photographs are also taken either before or after/while having the campfire.
Thermal suits, foot, and hand warmers are provided.
Drop-off at your hotel or accommodation (if it is on Tromsø island)
Ultimately, patience is key in nature. It is about understanding and respecting the intrinsic timing of the natural world. It encourages us to slow down, observe, and appreciate the beauty and complexity of the environment in its own time and rhythm.

Best northern lights tour small group - We had an unforgettable experience with George on our northern lights tour. He took us to a perfect spot where we were lucky enough to see the aurora dancing across the sky. George gave clear and interesting explanations about the lights and the surrounding nature, which made the evening even more special.
What really stood out was the personal touch – he prepared delicious homemade soup and set up a cozy campfire that kept us warm while we waited. George is super friendly, welcoming, and at the same time very professional, making sure everyone felt comfortable and taken care of.
This tour felt both magical and personal, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommended!I’m

George made the night unforgettable: expert, attentive and we saw stunning Northern Lights! - Our experience with George was absolutely unforgettable! Despite the challenging weather conditions, he used his expertise and determination to find the perfect spots where we could witness the magic of the Northern Lights. Thanks to his patience and professionalism, we ended up seeing some of the most stunning auroras we could have ever imagined bright, dancing, and simply breathtaking.
George is not only highly knowledgeable and passionate about what he does, but also extremely kind, attentive, and friendly. He made us feel comfortable the entire time and shared his enthusiasm in such an inspiring way. His dedication truly sets him apart, and it was clear how much he cares about giving his guests the best possible experience.

Honest and accomplishing tour - What an incredible experience! George really makes the difference. He's a very honest guide. Prior to my arrival, while booking the experience, he asks information about your stay. I didn't know what was the purpose until I received a whatsapp message while I was in Oslo boarding to my flight to Tromso. I was going to stay there for 3 nights just in case I weren't lucky on my first (that's when I booked my tour). He told me weather conditions and forecast were not on our side. Knowing I was going to be there for 2 additional nights he suggested to reschedule. We went on the chase on my last night and he didn't failed me. I could see the beauty of the Aurora live, fulfilling a long time dream. He drove us around an hour and a half looking for clear skies and nice conditions. Once we parked, lights were already starting. We enjoyed the show, capturing every moment. He offers to take you pictures with his camera or your own. He shares tripods if needed and helps with settings. After a while, he set a bonfire and shared some hot beverages. Then we had a delicious soup and bread. While having dinner he shared explanations and tales of Auroras. On the way back he rode us back at our hotel. On the next day I received in my email an access to download all the photos he took! I would definitely recommend his tour. What a professional guy!!! Thank you George for everything!!!

Unbelievable display of lights by a great guide! - What an awesome experience! George was a fantastic guide. We thought we wouldn't see the lights because it was a cloudy and rainy day and night. George was relentless in finding the right spot and did he ever. We drove for a few hours with it raining but he spotted a break in the clouds which ended up being an unbelievable display of lights, even seeing red. We got fantastic pictures and would definitely recommend this excursion!

INCREDIBLE- no words - BOOK THIS TOUR! It took me 3 weeks to find George and this tour and the search was worth it! We were his 1st tour of the season. George and Sam exceeded our expectations. They delivered a once in a lifetime experience. We had a great time, incredible conversations, and delicious lentil soup! They drove out of the way to give us the best chance to see the lights. A seriously customized experience! There are a lot of companies out there, save yourself the time, and book this one, you will love it.

Worth every dollar! - We did our excursion with George, who was fantastic. Because of his knowledge & experience we were able to find a suitable spot on a very cloudy evening & witness the magic in the sky. George was very well prepared and not only took photos of our group with the lights, but also provided us with hot drinks, hot soup, cookies and a stool to sit on around the fire. Such a fantastic experience!

Chasing Magic with George! - Our Northern Lights adventure with George was absolutely incredible! From the start, he went out of his way to make it special - even offering to take us a day early when the skies didn’t look promising. He skillfully guided us through breathtaking spots like Balsfjord and Signaldalen, patiently chasing clear skies until we were rewarded with mesmerizing auroras. George was set up to take beautiful photos of us and the auroras and made the most delicious soup for our journey! After cleaning up our campfire we made our way back into town. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get better, the sky lit up with the brightest display on our way back… pure magic! George’s passion, knowledge, and dedication made this an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Tromsø!

Search for auroras - The small group tour experience is certainly ideal even if it costs more. Our group was 7 people. In Trompso we had very cloudy days and snow, but on the day of the tour the guide took us well north until the road ended and there the sky was partially uncovered and we managed to see auroras, although not in all its splendour. But the experience is wonderful

Chasing the Northern Lights with Boreal Quest – Worth Every Moment! - This was an unforgettable adventure! Our tour started in Tromsø under challenging conditions—thick clouds and snow made the hunt for the Northern Lights feel uncertain at first. But thanks to our amazing guide George, who was incredibly knowledgeable and determined, we drove all the way to Finland where the skies finally opened up.
We were rewarded with perfectly clear skies and the incredible timing of an Auroral substorm expansion. Seeing the Northern Lights dance across the sky like that was absolutely breathtaking.
George made the whole experience feel safe and personal, always checking that everyone was comfortable and enjoying the moment. His passion and expertise really showed.
It wasn’t the easiest chase, but it was so worth it—and I’d recommend Boreal Quest to anyone looking for a truly memorable Northern Lights experience!

Please take this aurora tour - I found George on Tripadvisor because it was all 5-star reviews. And no wonder he was a all five star! The tour was very well planned from the beginning to end. We had a very cloudy day and I had very low hopes for the aurora, however I saw the BEST aurora out of the four days of aurora tour. George drove us all the way to finland to show us the strongest lights at the perfect location. We arrived perfect on time and did not miss the aurora explosion. Ive talked to some other people the next day and some of the other companied were short of time to arrive to finland so they missed the Ms. Aurora explosion! But George did not make us miss it.
Also, he makes a great fire + amazing soup. Oh! I even LOVED his car, it has a window above you so you get to see the stars and make sure not to miss the northern lights.
Lastly, he takes AMAZING photos for you. Photos are VERY inportant.
I am so grateful to have found Boreal Quest, our amazing guide George, on Trip advisor.
