- Troms - Once the perfect spot is found, a peaceful location away from other groups and artificial lights will be chosen. Waiting is part of the experience: the aurora might appear within minutes or after a couple of hours. To keep spirits high while waiting, a campfire will be made, and hot soup and chocolate will be shared around the fire, along with stories about this natural phenomenon. In winter, temperatures range from +5 °C to -30 °C, so thermal suits will be provided for everyone.
If a camera is available, guidance will be given on how to set it up to best capture the aurora. Professional photos will also be taken to ensure an unforgettable memory of this magical night.
- Troms - It’s important to remember that nature is unpredictable: sometimes, although rarely, the sky may remain cloudy or solar activity may be low. However, sometimes just 20 minutes of clear skies are enough to witness an incredible display. With knowledge of the local climate and advanced weather tools, every effort will be made to be in the right place at the right time.
Nights without the Aurora are rare, but they do happen. Therefore, it’s crucial to remember that the Aurora can never be guaranteed 100%.
The tour’s duration will depend on how long it takes to find the right conditions. Sometimes, a 30-minute drive is sufficient; other times, a true aurora hunt is needed, exploring a wider area to find a starry sky. Regardless of the night, an unforgettable adventure is promised!
