Felt like a friend taking us around - We spent a few days around Norway, with the first four days in Tromsø. This was the first activity of our very first day and it was beyond amazing. Stig gave us a wonderful introduction to the area with lovely landscapes and tons of interesting information. His wealth of knowledge about, really everything, coupled with his sense of humor and great storytelling truly made this tour memorable. We did other tours during our trip and they were all great because Norway is great, but none had the personal vibe of this one. The small size of the tour, and again, Stig, made it feel like a friend was showing you around, as opposed to a guide. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour and this business.

Fantastic Scenery and Insight into Fjord Culture Past and Present - This was a fantastic experience. We were keen to see something of the surrounding fjord area and were recommended this tour by the tourist office representative that visited the hotel. In fact as it turned out there were just three of us on the tour, expertly driven and guided by our driver Freddie. It was a real privilege to spend time in his company - imparting stories from his childhood as well as providing insight and commentary that only someone who was local to the fjord area could. No question was too trivial and he was happy to stop wherever we wanted as long as it was safe. Given the snow covered conditions, we were treated to some impressive views but also left feeling we had a much better understanding of the fjord settlement culture both present and past. When we returned to Tromso we felt very much as if we had been on a day trip with a friend rather than an organised tour. If you are the sort of person who likes scenery and would like to see a different part of the Tromso region - or just leave teh commercialisation of activity tours behind - then we can recommend this trip more highly

Wonderful personal guide of countryside - I joined Marianne’s half day wildlife tour with my 76 year old Mum after doing a northern lights tour the day before. Tromso was hit with quite bad weather (yellow wind warnings) so our planned morning up the cable car wasn’t able to go ahead. I’m so pleased we did this activity, despite being very windy and very cold it was awesome seeing the countryside, mountains, stunning scenery. We saw a couple of wild reindeer and an eagle 😍, and quite a few Trolls in the rocks too! We were picked up at 9am and back in Tromso at 2pm. Lots of stops to take in the spectacular scenery, great advice given on camera set up, and great advice for taking excellent photos on my IPhone. Marianne is very knowledgeable, not just about photography, but also about the area which she obviously loves, she is very passionate about her tours and truly wants everyone to make the most of their time in Tromso. A toilet stop, hot drinks, sandwiches, buiscuits and chocolates all provided which were very welcomed . Another great activity with Marianne , I highly recommend

Great morning in Tromso - Great tour! We went to many amazing spots for photos. Got the chance to see reindeer and stratospheric clouds. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Would take a tour with this company again!

Great photo tour - Marianne is a skilled photographer who showed us how to elevate our photos (whether using a DSLR or phone). She knew some of the most scenic spots. She is a 3rd generation resident of this community, so her insights were on target. (We took another daytime tour, but not with a native. It was far inferior.) The reduction from 5 stars to 4 stars is because she was too interested in taking her own photos rather than focusing exclusively on the clients--my wife, myself, and another woman. Her daughter called during the tour so she walked away to take the call. Her small Subaru was functional but not luxurious. She was on time for pick-up, but the location was not clear on the website--all 3 of us were walking in circles. She could have solved it by saying in front of X store.

Authentic and genuine - It was the other side of the coin of the half-day cruise on the fjords; it made me have the other point of view on the same places, from the ground, and completed the vision of the wonderful geography and nature; it also offered more personal comments, as the two guests, Marianne and her collaborator, are natives of those places, and have transmitted in part their feelings; I wish Them to continue to preserve all these characteristics of themselves and places, I tried to do my part. Amazing scenery & photo opportunities. - An excellent way to find good spots for landscape & wildlife with an experienced photographer. The weather has a significant impact on the chances of really good images so this should be borne in mind when booking.

Scenic Fjord Tour - Our guide was very sweet and caring. He was eager to please. It was a good tour, but not exactly as expected. The website mentions hearing "ancient folklore stories" and seeing wildlife. Our guide did point out some reindeer, but clearly could not identify the local flora or fauna. Nor did he seem to know what a troll was. There were no stories. The tour description needs to be rewritten.

Disappointing - Very disappointing. We met Marianne who was very good advice. But the performance did not live up to expectations. Marianne didn't come with us. Our driver Abdi had to follow a car with a guide. Abdi made a lot of effort to make us enjoy the ride but it was the guide who had the information we did not have during the ride. This guide did not show up, sometimes did not even wait for our van. He had other dependants. He ended up answering a few questions at the scene. We made three stops on the side of the road to see fjords. We ate next to the toilet on an old school parking lot near the garbage cans without views of the fjord. The snack that was included was equally disappointing: half a slice of bread with a slice of cheese, a packet of dry biscuits in tupperware and a bag of candy. Drinks: coffee or hot chocolate. We would have liked to discover less frequented places, take the time to observe wildlife, hear the history of Norway, walk in the fjord, ... This service is not worth the €158 per person we paid despite all the kindness of our driver.
