The journey begins with a meet-up at the pick-up point to ensure all equipment is properly fitted. Then, enjoy a picturesque 30-minute drive to a serene lake.
Upon arrival, participants will don snowshoes and embark on a guided hike through the stunning snow-covered terrain. The hike’s duration depends on conditions, typically taking about 50 minutes to reach the frozen lake.
At the lake, experience ice fishing firsthand. Using traditional methods, drill through the thick ice, drop lines, and patiently wait for a catch. While waiting, a fire will be made to enjoy lunch, snacks, and drinks, while sharing stories.
After catching fish, pack up and take a different route back. Keep an eye out for Arctic wildlife and engage in discussions about the local fauna.
By the time participants return to the hotel, they will have developed a deeper appreciation for Tromsø’s winter landscape and learned the art of ice fishing and the life of Arctic wildlife.
