Aurora Alert - We lucked out with a great night, but this is a fantastic alternative to the longer bus tours. This was 3.5 hours vs. 6-10. We had done a bus and this was the perfect night before we had to leave tromso. The boat isn’t fancy, but the crew is friendly and the drinks are hot.

Tromsø aurora chase - We were very concerned at the beginning of the chase as there was lots of cloud and it was snowing, but after about two hours the sky cleared and BOOM, some amazing aurora activity. Then as quick as it came, it went. The crew were amazing, continually updating us on what was happening up beyond the clouds, as well as some really good insight into life in Tromsø and above the Artic Circle. There were free warm beverages throughout the trip (tea, coffee and hot chocolate) with some biscuits.. After we saw the lights and were making our way back there was a quiz based on all the information that was given to you throughout the night, so keep listening to win... All in all it was a great chase...

The crew are helpful and... - The crew are helpful and friendly. They speak multiple languages too. Note the meeting point could be different. Check your email before the tour, as the operator would send you the new location map. Ask for the thermal suit. It really helps you to feel warm thus allow you to stay outside longer to enjoy the beautiful scenery and of course the Aurora

Great experience, marvelous Aurora show. - The day we had initially booked this trip for the boat ride got cancelled due to cloudy weather, and we were offered either a refund, a bus or a boat ride on a different day. We choose the boat ride and didn't have issues with rebooking it. Our captain and crew were very friendly and relentless in seeking a good spot for the Aurora. We got very lucky in the last minute and were rewarded with an incredible Aurora show. It exceeded all we were hoping to be able to see. It was brilliant and vivid, so many colours. The boat we were on was a little bit older with a lot of wooden details which to us was very charming, and had free coffee, tea and biscuits onboard which was very nice of the company. Would recommend.

Dedicated crew made the most of bad weather - Super dedicated boat crew. We were unlucky with the weather (a lot of clouds), but the captain tried to find cloud gaps. Food was also perfectly adequate, cocoa, coffee, tea and biscuits included. Soft drinks and waffles were available for a small price.

Disappointed - This tour did not start well. First we were given the wrong information about the pick up point. Thankfully we arrived early and there was someone there by chance who could tell us where to go. It was then a 15 min walk to the actual departure place. The boat was old and in need of some TLC. Not a very comfortable journey. We’d been on the Brin Explorers trip earlier that day and compared to that this was a disappointment. The guides were friendly and we did see the northern lights, but for a more comfortable experience I’d recommended a different tour.

Disappointing the organization - Disappointing experience, the old boat is absolutely unfit for purpose. Too bad the Northern Lights deserve better

Cancelled 24h before - The tour company cancelled our trip 24h before without giving a reason of the cancellation, forcing us to book another tour last minute. We had much less choice than when we booked this tour and they were ofcourse also much more expensive. We were really disappointed because we really looked forward to this tour and they didn’t even give us a single reason why they cancelled.
