Amazing tour - Amazing experience and Ken was amazing with giving instructions. We saw amazing lights and it was just amazing. Highly recommend this tour

A Great Alternative to the Bus Tour - We had only 10 odd participants so it turned out to be a very private affair. The crew of 4 is very friendly and approachable. Being the only kid, our boy got invited to the bridge. Sail out north or south but actual viewing is very dependent on cloud cover for that night. We got lucky and managed to catch it. In the end, we just had fun talking with the other group from Mumbai; we are Singaporeans btw. Do try it out if you are tired of 6 hours of bus ride to and fro Finland borders to catch the lights (which are overrated IMHO).

Cute boat and exiting trip - Great experience. There were cookies, hot drinks and northern lights! We stayed as long as the guest wanted. Ken informed us about everything and took pictures as well.

Easy way to see Northern Lights!! - This was our first tour to see Northern Lights. It was relatively comfortable considering our arrival in Tromso the same day. Our guide and captain Mikhail made sure we get plenty of Northern Lights opportunities. Our guide also made sure to call us whenever there was sighting of Green Lady while we warmed up inside the boat. Highly recommend this tour!!

Oh those crazy lights! - I booked this tour last minute as I had been watching the weather and left one night open for "just in case". Polar Adventure did a great job on land, and so I booked them again for the sea and it did not disappoint! The skies were clear and before we could get away from the city lights, the northern lights began....and didn't stop the entire time we were on the boat! The crew did a great job making sure we were all aware of what was going on and taking photos of them and the northern lights. The night was specatcualr and the captain and crew kept us on track and we saw some the most amazing northern lights to date! Cannot recommend this company enough!

Excellent communication and effort - I had originally booked this tour as a cruise tour, but as is with nature, the weather conditions canceled the boat option, and the team communicate early enough with several options. I selected the minibus tour instead. This afforded us the opportunity to go on the hunt for the northern lights and beat the clouds. And beat them we did! The team successfully tracked down gaps in the clouds and we saw the northern lights. Kudos to the team for their communication skills and efforts to find the northern lights. Not only would i recommend them, i actually booked another cruise with them on my last night (and had an amazing experience as well).

I enjoyed it along with... - I enjoyed it along with my friends we were able to see the northern lights great experience. Christina was great very knowledgeable appreciate her so much.

There is no guarantee to... - There is no guarantee to see the lights, but if they do show up, the tour guide will stand outside and show you where to look! They were knowledgable and chatty and helpful and the trip was worth the views. The one thing to note is that the meeting point was wrong on Viator - which caused us to be lost and arrive 15 minutes late! So make sure you confirm the meeting point before hand!

Walk ok but confusing meeting point - We have seen very little of the aurora boreal, but nature is unpredictable and I believe you have worked hard to find a good place. But the meeting point was very confusing!! In the description of the tour he spoke of two possible meeting points: one closer to the center and the other far away. At the time of booking only appeared to me a more remote place. Before continuing to book I wrote to the operator asking if there would be a possibility of meeting at the central point and the answer was negative. I closed the reservation and received confirmation which meeting point would be in the remote location. As there was prediction of a lot of fog at night, in the morning I passed by the agency to see how to change the day of the tour, which said it was not worth it... Therefore I asked them to explain to me how to get to the meeting point and to my amazement they informed that the boat would leave there from the center! And that's what happened, left the center, only that nobody got in touch to say q had exchanged. And several passengers had gone to the original meeting point and the captain blamed them for going to the wrong location, justifying a delay of more than 15 minutes.

No Tour, No Refund, No Communication – Very Disappointing - We booked a Northern Lights boat tour with Polar Adventures (Tromsø) for February 17, 2025. According to the confirmation email, we were supposed to be picked up at the pier between 19:30 and 19:45, with the tour starting at 20:00. We arrived at the correct location well in time, but no staff from Polar Adventures showed up. After walking around the pier and asking other tour guides, no one had any information about our tour. We were never informed of any changes or cancellations. The next day (February 18), we called Polar Adventures and spoke to a staff member named Kenneth, who told us that the boat had already left at 19:15 — before the scheduled meeting time. That was never communicated to us in advance. We immediately sent an email to Kenneth on the same day, requesting a full refund. After receiving no response, we followed up again on February 25 by email to their official booking address (booking@polaradventures.no). To this day, we have received no reply and no refund. We paid 2,200 NOK for a service that was never delivered, and despite multiple polite attempts to resolve the matter, the company has not responded. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and we cannot recommend Polar Adventures based on how this was handled.
