• Tromso - Embark on a picturesque journey from Tromsø to our basecamp, featuring a brief ferry ride and stunning views of mountains and fjords.
• Nord-Lenangen - Upon arrival, enjoy a freshly prepared fish soup (please refer to allergy information under Additional Info).

You can participate in a guided 2 km nature walk, either on foot or with snowshoes, to explore the surrounding Scandinavian landscape — or simply unwind at basecamp.

Please note that the walk is optional and subject to weather conditions.

• Nord-Lenangen - After dinner, we will provide information about the Northern Lights forecast and light the fire in your lavvo.

Once your lavvo is warmed, one of our guides will escort you there and demonstrate how to maintain the fire throughout the night.

Spend the night in your warm and cozy lavvo. You’ll have the entire night to search for the Northern Lights—whether relaxing under the lavvo’s glass ceiling or exploring the basecamp.

Please note that adding wood and maintaining the fire is part of the experience.

• Tromso - In the morning, enjoy a traditional Norwegian breakfast before beginning the return journey to Tromsø (city center). Arrival is expected around 11:00 a.m.

Welcome to our Basecamp, nestled in the stunning Lyngen Alps, where breathtaking views of mountains, fjords, and forests await.

Stay overnight in a Crystal Lavvo cabin, warmed by a wood-burning fireplace for a genuine Arctic experience. Each lavvo is equipped with a glass ceiling, allowing you to gaze at the sky continuously.

Relish the freedom to spend the entire night searching for the Northern Lights—whether from the comfort and warmth of your lavvo or while exploring the basecamp. With favorable conditions, you might even witness several “releases” throughout the night.

• Each Crystal Lavvo accommodates up to 4 guests, with a minimum of 2 guests per lavvo. Lavvos are always private for your group and are not shared with other guests.
• The lavvo portion of the experience begins after dinner and is designed as a nighttime Arctic experience. This is a unique experience rather than a traditional hotel or Airbnb stay.
• Please note that this is an experience where you will need to add wood to the fireplace yourself to stay warm during the night.
• Bathroom facilities are shared. There is one indoor bathroom and one traditional outhouse.
• Please note that this is not a Northern Lights chase by vehicle. The entire nighttime experience takes place at the basecamp.
• We can accommodate the following: vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-free options — but not in combination (e.g., gluten-free and vegan together). Please don’t forget to add this to your booking notes — we need to know in advance.
• There are no shops or grocery stores nearby, so please come prepared :)
• We do not sell alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own.
• We recommend bringing warm clothing suitable for Arctic conditions. Indoor slippers are also recommended for extra comfort.
• Not suitable for children under 6 years old.
• Not recommended for travelers with serious medical conditions, due to the remote location and limited access to immediate medical assistance.
• Maximum one suitcase and one medium bag/backpack per person (due to transportation capacity).
• Pickup and drop-off times in Tromsø may be affected by weather or road conditions. We recommend allowing extra time between activities and onward travel plans.
• This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it is canceled due to low participation, you will be offered a full refund or an alternative date if possible.
• We reserve the right to cancel this trip due to weather or safety concerns. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
• No refunds will be given if you do not arrive at the agreed pick-up location on time.
