To ensure comfort and warmth during the tour, we provide thermal suits and warm footwear. Later, we’ll gather around a fire, relishing in its soothing ambiance while indulging in sausages, warm beverages, and cookies.
- Please provide us with your shoe size and height
- Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required
- Remember to bring your passport (in case we will drive to Finland) and put on warm clothes!
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if less than 4 passengers per tour. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund

The best driver in the world - The snow was thick that night, like a slow-falling blanket trying to smother the road, but Wojtek gripped the wheel like it was an old friend he’d wrestled with a hundred times before. I sat back, barely breathing, watching him lean into every turn as if he *felt* the road beneath the tires, not just saw it. Headlights cut through the dark, tracing winding paths of ice and shadow, but Wojtek didn’t flinch—just a calm, quiet hum from his throat and the occasional flick of his eyes toward the horizon. Finland was out there somewhere, buried under snow and silence, and he was going to find it one curve at a time.

A Magical Experience! - I was in great hands with Hermann and Dominic and we only had to drive about 35 minutes out of downtown Tromso to see a fantastic light show! The professional photos hit my inbox not even 24 hours later and they exceeded my expectations. I will not forget the experience!

Unforgettable experience - I joined the Northern Lights - All Inclusive Tour with Northern Horizon on March 16th, and it was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Max, was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about the aurora. He shared endless information with us throughout the night, making the experience even more special.
Even though the aurora wasn’t very strong that night, Max and the team did their best to give us the best possible experience. Their efforts and positive attitude made the evening truly memorable.
The tour included a cozy campfire, delicious hot chocolate, and even a chance to cook sausages over the fire. We even crossed over into Finland during the tour, which was an unexpected highlight!
Max’s hospitality was outstanding, and the driver was also very kind and helpful. They provided all the necessary equipment to keep us warm and comfortable. At the end of the night, Max even dropped me off very close to my accommodation, even though it was outside the city center – something they didn’t have to do, but it made a big difference.
Overall, it was an unforgettable experience and I highly recommend Northern Horizon to anyone looking to see the Northern Lights.

Absolutely unreservedly recommended - In December I booked tours with 5 different providers during my week-long trip. Including Northern Horizon. As a guide we had Harry, unfortunately I can't remember the name of the driver, but they were a really great team. With Harry, my first thought was immediately that he really enjoyed his job and the driver had left the same impression on me.
Unfortunately, the sky was a bit foggy that day, which is why the aurora borealis were rather faint by Norwegian standards. But that's just nature and the guides can't help it. They do everything they can to find the best conditions, that's all that's possible. It was really a great tour. We drove on the island of Kvaloya to a location on a lake where there was also a small cabin with benches. After Harry and his driver had shoveled the way to the cabin clear of snow, it started. The campfire was lit and so slowly the aurora borealis show began. Later we grilled reindeer sausages over the fire and had hot drinks. Harry and the driver took very good care of the guests, for example helping with camera settings and taking photos of the participants. The photos were provided after the tour.
I would book the tour again at any time.

Northern Lights, Max fun! - Very well organised tour from pick up to drop off. Our guide Max (geologist by trade, aurora enthusiast by night), made the entire time a fun learning experience. He packed in so much digestible facts. His passion and enthusiasm was impressive and charming. The camp fire, food and drinks was a tasty activity, which added a special element. Thank you for helping us tick a bucket list item! Our driver was great and so kind, he helped those who were struggling to get into their thermal suits. Thank you all so much. Highly recommend Northern Horizon!

See above section - Our guide, Max, was very good!
He was very knowledgeable about the northern lights/aurora borealis and always asked if we had questions. He was very friendly and tended to us. He took good care of us. Though the aurora were slightly visible, Mac’s photos of the aurora were very good. The van driver was also very nice. Thank you!

One of the best choices we made - First time trying to see the lights and I don’t think we could have found a better tour guide. Herman has been chasing these lights for years and somehow found a clear site, even though it has been snowing and overcast most of the day. More than that, he was deeply knowledgeable about the physics behind the lights and explained it in an easy to understand way. He told us about the wildlife in the area, and he and Peter (the driver) setup a campfire complete with reindeer sausages aha marshmallows. We did have luck on our side and scored some great shots of the lights. He shared his photos with us so between our images and his we’ve got a hundreds of images from the night. Would highly recommend this company.

The night of extraordinary view - We had waited for months for this tour. Finally we were there in Tromso. Harman, our guide greeted us warmly. He is an amazing guide who took care of each of his clients to make them comfortable throughout the journey. He took us to a place where we could see decent amount of Northern Lights. Harman had been a great guide and host to us. The coffe and light snacks around a fire was icing on the cake.
