Amazing !!!!! - Amazing experience! Hans Eric provided lots of information and took us to the best places to catch the lights! They were amazing! The driver was also really lovely and drives safely.

Chasing the Green Veil - To make the wait more enjoyable, tours provide a range of amenities, including campfires, hot chocolate and snacks, as well as gear on occasion.

Full of activities...and we saw the lights - We took 2 different trips with 2 different companies, we preferred this one the most, even if the lights weren't quite as bright. (which isn't the tours fault) If wasn't that cold, but thermal suits are nice when you are standing outside in the snow for so low. They also made hot drinks and had cookies/snacks. Bus was comfortable, and we knew it didn't have a toilet which wasn't an issue. We really enjoyed our tour guide and driver, who talked about different topics as we went, also quiet time. She was super excited about sharing the lights and her stories were interesting. She even sang some of the indigenous throat songs which was unique, and later came out into camp singing as Santa Lucia as it was December 13th which was her celebration day.

Great Hunting of Northern Light - Great experience with great guide and driver (Dimi and Socrates). Very knowledgeable and thoughtful. Nicely caring each tourist, hunting patiently from place to place, and finding us a great spot to see the northern light at night.

Magical Christmas Northern Lights Experience with Joanna - I had the most magical experience with Joanna on our Northern Lights minibus tour. We really got lucky and Mother Nature put on a spectacular show with both green and pink light dancing through the sky. Joanna and our lovely local driver well friendly, helpful and caring. Making sure to not stop where it was too icey and ensuring we had the best chances for magical photos. The pick up point is easy to find and the hotel drop off is appreciated late at night. Thanks again!

Excellent must do tour if visiting Tromso - Amazing tour, we saw the most stunning display of northern lights. The tour guide and driver were amazing. Matous our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about the tour giving us an amazing experience. He took many brilliant photos, made everyone feel very welcome and provided snacks hot drinks and gave lots of talks and information about the northern lights. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone looking to see the northern lights.

Spectacular lights show and great hosts - Despite the freezing cold temperatures, we had a fantastic evening and the Northern Lights gave us a dazzling display! We were lucky to witness the lights across the sky within a short time, but we were driven to a few further locations to witness them again (as well as having hot drinks, biscuits & toasted marshmallows!) Stina and her partner (can't remember his name so apologies) were very friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a great time. Excellent experience and I recommend the minibus tour with Polar Adventures.

Magic - I loved the experience, the guide was magnificent told us many stories about the auroras, the country and its customs. 100% recommended

not again - We were a group op 5 and made 4 northern light tours bookings on Dec 30, 31 2025 and Jan 1st and Jan2nd 2026. On Dec 30 we had the Northern Lights Chase Acres borders booked via GYG. The pick up was at Polaria as they couldn’t pick up at the hotel Scandic Ishavn Hotel. There were 15 guests on the bus and they did all they possibly could to find a spot where the northern lights were visible, we drove 4 and a half hours through Sweden into Finland. When the driver finally said this was the first time this season he had not seen the light it appeared en we enjoyed the 20 minutes of light. than 4 and a half hours back to Tromso in the mini bus. the mini bus driver was in T-shirt while all the guests were in Thermo gear so the 23 degrees Celsius in the bus were very uncomfortable. the snow storms were difficult to drive in and I felt unsafe at high speed but the driver had to get back within the permitted hours to drive. We saw the light, came home dehydrated, the photos that were included arrived 8 day after the trip, but they did all that was possible to show us the light. I left my beanie in the bus and the guide whom I saw the next day told me they had it, well they still have it as I was not informed where it could be picked up. The hot chocolate served was like warm water; I would NOT book this trip again in future. On Dec 31st we did the Aurora Chase by Minibus with Thermal suit, snack and Photo booked via tripadvisor to Polar Adventures. This minibus had 24 guests on board and pick up was at Fra Nansens Plass, also not at the hotel. First stop was at a place where 2 Large buses were parked already, so the advantage of mini bus was non existent. after a half hour we than moved to a place closer to Tromso with a lot of light pollution, so when the aurora appeared the view was very poor and than the guide and driver were in a hurry to get back home as it was new years eve. we are still waiting for the photos that were supposedly included. Our daughter left her hat and reading glasses on the bus, we were immediately informed where they could be picked up and we did so. As the places selected by the guide to view the aurora were awful would NOT book again. Day 3 Jan 1st, we were booked on the small northern light tour max 8 guests, pro photographer included, booked via tripadvisor to Alshemal Norway. We were picked up from our hotel, Zain the guide contacted us already 2 days before to make sure we were ready for early pick up if needed. we were total 7 guest on the minibus. they took us to the coast near Somaroy. the whole experience was FANTASTIC! a very good spot in total darkness, no other buses, delicious snack and top quality hot chocolate, campfire, a large number of professional photos that were in the dropbox the following day. Anyone looking for a great experience BOOK THIS ONE!! Thank you very much Zain for a great night out We cancelled day 4 of our reservations as we had seen the aurora 3 days in a row. VIATOR refunded to my creditcard within 24 hours.

From Tromsø it is a... - From Tromsø it is quite a journey, and you should be ready for an evening on the bus. Especially when there is a lot of cloud or snow, it is a lot of effort for little result. This is difficult to determine in advance, but if possible I would only book next time I knew the weather forecasts. We were unlucky with lots of clouds and lots of snow and rain. The trip continued, but nothing seen through this. The guide and driver were very friendly, and the evening was otherwise very informative
