Fantastic tour with a great team and facilities - Fantastic tour with Margaux & Gregor. They gave a great explanation of what to expect, took us to a stunning location and looked after us so well with refreshments and stories while we waited for some activity. When it arrived a couple of hours later the sky was mesmerising. Absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!

Dancing Auroras - Well organised tour , with our very enthusiastic, kind and attentive guide Margo. Comfortable & warm mini bus, with night camera attached for aurora viewing. Travelled approx 1.5 hours to the centre of Ringvassoya Island, searching for a micro climate & the stars’, which we found , despite persistent rain in Tromso! After a barbecue of hot dogs and roasted marshmallow’s, plus plenty of hot coffee / chocolate, the stars appeared, followed in time by a beautiful dancing aurora show. A second beautiful aurora burst , this time on our way home on the eastern coast line of Kvaloya, Fantastic photos and great company, made for a really excellent evening ( out for 7 hours) and wonderful memories.

Magician’s at work, truly - From the moment our tour began, David and our driver (I'm sorry I forgot name) proved they weren’t just guides — they were absolute magicians. On a night when the weather looked hopeless and the rain refused to let up, they somehow managed to pull the Northern Lights out of the sky like a rabbit from a hat.
They drove tirelessly, chasing every possible break in the clouds until they found the perfect pocket of clear sky. Once we arrived, they transformed a snowy roadside into a cosy Arctic camp: a warm fire crackling, dinner cooking, and even a heated loo tent (which deserves its own award).
Their knowledge and enthusiasm were matched only by their kindness. They helped us adjust our phone settings, took stunning photos for us, and made sure every single person felt looked after. Nothing was too much trouble — they were patient and genuinely passionate about giving us the best experience possible.
Thanks to their determination and expertise, we didn’t just see the Northern Lights — we lived a moment we’ll never forget.

Magician’s as work - David and our driver (sorry forgot name) were both amazing, attentive and informative.
On our way they were busy checking the science for the right spot, and on a challenging night they pulled it out the hat, took loads of photos, while somehow setting up camp sorting dinner and showing people how to photograph on phones. We also had a loo tent that was warmed. Kind enough to drop everyone back their accommodation.

Amazing Northern Lights Experience. - Amazing experience. Special thanks to Margaux (guide) and Gregor (Bus Pilot). They were amazing. Margaux kept us entertained throughout the tour. Both were very efficient in arranging the fireside experience when we reached the spot for viewing, and Margaux took some amazing photos of the Northern Lights for us. Margaux made our experience amazing. If we visit Tromso again, we will definitely seek out the tour with this company and especially with Margaux and Gregor.

Tromsø Northern Lights Trip with David - David was an awesome guide for this tour. He took us to a remote area on the coast, saw reindeer and a moose on the way, and the Northern Lights put on quite a show for several hours last night providing a great memory with awesome photos also taken by David. His enthusiasm and passion for Aurora Borealis comes through which got everyone else in this small group excited as well. He also spent time explaining the tools used to measure the events and in helping people get some of their own photos done in addition to the catalog of pics he provided the group. Highly recommend using this company and David for a once in a lifetime experience!

The Northern Lights tour we’d book again - Review:
After trying two different Northern Lights tours during our trip to Tromsø, the experience with Arctic Circle Tours Tromsø was the clear winner.
Our guide explained the forecast, cloud cover and backup plan before we even left the city. When conditions in Norway weren’t ideal, she didn’t hesitate to drive 2.5 hours into Finland to chase clearer skies. That persistence made all the difference.
They set up a proper camp with a bonfire, chairs, hot drinks, marshmallows and hot dogs while we waited. There was even a heated tent with a chemical toilet (when we were researching, this was the only tour that had a toilet, otherwise its a very chilly wild wee).
Then the sky delivered. Bright green ribbons of aurora moving across the horizon, clearly visible to the naked eye, not just through a camera.
Well organised, genuinely focused on the chase, and easily the tour we’d book again.

Incredible experience and extremely well organized - This was one of the best tours I have ever done in terms of structure and organization. We drove 1h to the coast of Tromso in a super comfortable minibus and there we set up a camp with fireplace, chairs, blankets and a warm and illuminated bathroom. They had spikes for their feet, but they spread gravel on the floor so no one could slip and that was enough. There was marshmallow, hot dogs and donuts at hand, as well as tea, coffee and hot chocolate. When dawn came, shortly after we set up camp, they distributed tripods for cameras and cell phones, as well as took countless amazing photos, which were made available on the way back. We stopped during our return to see the dawn again at another point because it was strong, and then left us in our Airbnb. I highly recommend the experience even if you can't see the dawn, because only the journey is already very well worth it.

Great Experience - David, our tour guide was excellent. He was so excited to go looking for a clear sky to see the aurora. While waiting he prepared a fire and we cooked hotdogs and marshmallows. Even though it is nature and cannot expect to see the lights, David did his best and made sure we saw them in a couple of locations. He took many pictures which were complimentary (not all companies do this) and emailed them to me the next day.

Would recommend - The tour went smoothly and we were lucky to have very clear skies and a full moon. Our tour guide David and our driver (sorry, I forgot his name) helped with camera settings to capture the aurora. They also set up camping chairs with backrest and distributed blankets. When I got cold, I could go back inside the minibus, and they turned on the heating. It was possible to use the hotel's restroom right before departure. There was a covered portable toilet at the camping site, which I didn't use, but it was useful for the women in our group. For drinks we could choose between tea and hot chocolate. The only thing I didn't like was the dinner, which included hot dogs (meat and vegetarian options available) of the cheap type that look and taste artificially (not real sausages). On the positive side, you could eat as much as you needed.
