Great comforting and informative experience - Informative, felt welcomed and enjoyed all activities of tour: journey and bus stops, sled ride, hearing about reindeer and Sami life following nature and listening to Joiks. The warm fireside and hot drinks and trying reindeer stew.

Such a Fun Experience - Yes, it’s a bit pricey. Yes, the sleigh ride feels like the adult version of the pony ride at a local fair. And yes, reindeer feeding is akin to feeding animals at the petting zoo, albeit with pointy antlers to watch out for. Nonetheless, all 4 of us, including our adult-aged ‘kids’ loved it. The entire visit was well-orchestrated and the lunch (regular and vegetarian/GF options) was tasty. Listening to the Sami woman talk about the culture was fascinating and it was a bit disappointing that she had to cut her discussion short as our group needed to get back on the bus. It was obvious that she enjoyed sharing her history and could have talked much longer. We would have preferred more time to listen to her stories and a bit less “free time” to wander around and explore the reindeer camp. Outside of that recommendation, the entire experience was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it.

Wholesome & Educational - An enjoyable experience for people of all ages, well organised, well looked after, brings learning to not only the reindeer, their place in history of Norway and present day but also the history of the Sami people and their continued present day struggles. Really worthwhile doing.

Great experience - Loved the experience with the reindeers and the ride was amazing. The culture was well explained and feels good to know that our trip helps to directly support the reindeers and the Sami community, which is cultural and spiritual.

Imperdible - Amazing! From feeding the reindeer, trench ride, a good conversation about the Sami culture. An indispensable tour for those who go to Tromso!

Good experience meeting and feeding the reindeers and learning about the Sami culture. Missed out on sledding though! - It was a good experience where we got a chance to feed the reindeers, take pictures, and get a Sami culture overview from the guides. We were served food and hot beverages. Overall, it was a good experience getting a chance to meet and feed the reindeer and also learn about the Sami culture. The only disappointment was that we did not get to sled and were informed about the cancellation half an hour before the tour was to start.

Sami reindeer - Very nice experience. Interesting and fun. Sami people seem kind, although sensitive tourists, which is understandable. That is unfortunate, and has to be taken into consideration

Wonderful, despite a chaotic start, - The start of the trip was slightly chaotic. The meeting point was at a particular slippery location, that could have been gritted. The guides arrived on time, but shouted inaudible instructions to the tour participants. We were meant to form two lines, but it ended up in a confused crush. One of the guides was particularly surly and unapologetic — her response to complaints was that it was not her fault if people refuse to cue. The registration process simply hadn’t been well thought out. On the bus another guide introduced her herself over the microphone, but said nothing more during the journey. Some background information about the location of the camp and its history would have been appreciated. The camp itself is a 30 minute journey away. It doesn’t feel as remote as some will expect, with several houses nearby. The Sami people were wonderfully welcoming. All aspects of the visit to the camp were first rate. Reindeer feeding was great fun, and the process was carefully explained. The stew we were served was delicious. The sleigh ride itself was short, but enjoyable. The talk and storytelling was deeply informative and the joik proved very moving. The bus returned to Tromso on time, and the drive felt safe despite bad weather. The Sami people made this experience and deserve 5*. The blue jacketed tour guides were less professional in their approach.

Nice arctic experience. - Despite the snow storm, we had a great experience. Everyone is very welcoming, there is plenty of time to feed the reindeers and we learned a lot about the Sami culture. Lunch was great in a cozy tent.
