Nice view! - Beautiful, even more snow! Stunning view. Worth every penny. Walk the mountain, don't just stay around the coffee shop. Enjoy walking in the snow or mountain if it is not snowing.

Fjellheisen or cable car. - The Tromso Cable Car or Fjellheisen is one of the main tourist attractions in Tromso.
It has a beautiful view of the city, and at night it is possible to observe the Northern Lights, the cable car viewpoint also has a cafe.
I recommend going at night to see the Auroras.

Marvellous view - Good service as it was quick and easy, but we made a mistake with the booking as we typed for a family (2 adults and 2 children) plus one adult instead of just 3 adults, but the employee told us she couldn't do anything….
Bar with panoramic view and very kind waitress. Excellent coffee served.
We were surprised by the lack of protective fences... help!
The place is stratospheric. Beautiful view ….

Good little trip - Our guide was really informative and helpful. We went by taxi to the cable car (only a short journey). The cable car took about 10 mins to the top. The day I went it was very cloudy and started snowing. We were at the top for about 2 hrs and the cloud eventually disappeared for some fantastic views. The cafe was really good drinks and snacks. It's was a really good little trip. Our guide was really chatty and very friendly. The taxi took us back to the puck up point.

Great views. But wouldn’t recommend it - Very exxy for a cable car ride.
View was fantastic but icy so it wasn’t safe to walk around without crampons. Can get great views walking around the city anyway so - not sure it’s worth the extreme price.
Cafe is fairly basic.
Be warned - they do not offer refunds for bad weather. Only rebooking credit within 90days.
Strong winds shut it down for half the day on Christmas 2025. Seems likely it gets shutdown frequently with no refund options for tourists.
That part feels like unethical business practice to me.

A view and that’s it! - Cable car up and down was ok but packed like sardines in a can with only 2 cars operating. No information at the top to tell you anything about the city, history, who and when it was built. A very small cafe at the top with limited seating but great views over northern Norway and the fjords. My negative is nothing at the bottom with regard to food, coffee, seating while you’re waiting for the transfer bus. Nice view but poorly thought out!

I am not writing this to... - I am not writing this to be posted but to communicate with Viator.
The rain, no visibility, school field trip with kids trapped inside because of weather!, outrageous prices for beverages. None of this is under your control but didn't help with the level of frustration we were experiencing because when we got to the ticket booth the bar code on our ticket was not accepted. They wanted a QR code. I scoured all my paperwork and never found a QR code. We finally had to buy tickets so the experience wasn't a total waste.
It was my fault that I didn't write down the meeting place and having no internet on the day of the tour I had no idea how to get to the Cable Car. We finally took a cab.
However I was very impressed and appreciative of the group in charge of the shuttle that we should have been on. They called me and provided great information and follow through. The lady's name is Anne
I have been booking tours with Viator and have recommended you to many as we had always had great experiences. This was not one of them!!

You really will have to want to go to use this - a rip off! - Very expensive at ~£60 a head for a return ride for 4 minutes of travel time a single way. Great views for sure. Cafe on the top rammed and very expensive and poor quality. Not enough seating but then there is no competition. Not good value for money in any shape or form but they have you over a barrel.

Expensive Transfer. 😞 - Avoid booking this trip - the cost in my opinion is an absolute rip off. The organised trip used normal Tromso taxis, and the amount charged for a 10 minute taxi trip to the cable car (from central Tromso) is extortionate. To make matters worse, the guide did not accompany us, and the taxi to collect us did not arrive - over 30 mins late standing in the freezing cold. We had to chase the taxi by speaking to other local drivers. Please take my advice, and book an uber or the shuttle bus (two of which departed whilst we were waiting). The cable car and views from the top are amazing, and definetly worth doing. Just DONT use this transfer service. Not recommended under any circumstances.

Please stay away! - The tour operator did not show up. There has been no response from them even now. I've not received any word on the refund yet.
