Orcas and Humpbacks - The guide was very knowledgeable! We got to see a pod of Orcas and two sets of Humpback whales on the trip. The ship we were on had a front deck, upper back deck, and lower back deck. Make sure to wear your extra warm clothes as it is a lot colder out on the water with the wind (we went in early January). Highly recommend purchasing Dramamine if you get motion sick, they sell the sea bands but my wife started to feel a but faint even with both the meds and bands. The tour takes most of the day but you get to see lots of pretty scenery. We even got to see one of the Norwegian salmon farms on the way back. The trip did not provide free food, but the food on the boat was not over priced. On our trip they sold traditional Norwegian candy that my wife and I shared with a cup of ramen and some snacks we had also packed for the trip.

Fantastic - What an amazing trip! Unfortunately we were too late in the year for whales but knew it was a long shot, however this didn’t detract from what a wonderfully comfortable boat the MS Gabrielle is, warm, super comfortable and the crew were amazing going all out to make it the great trip it was, our guide Vincenzo was so lovely and super knowledgeable about the area, friendly and keen to answer any questions such a lovely guy, we stopped at an island to see white tailed eagles which were wow! And some fantastic other sites I would totally recommend this trip and crew thanks again Vincenzo my ‘posh’ friend 😊👍🏻

We saw whales and their tails! - I had a read a few reviews beforehand so was aware that it is a long trip with a short viewing time but it was worth it. The boat is large with very comfortable seats and the inside area was a good temperature, and there are blankets available if you are cold. The staff I spoke to were lovely. The information given out at various times was interesting and clear. We did visit at the end of the whale season but we were lucky enough to see 3 sperm whales and their tails as they dived. I also spent about 15 minutes watching a sea eagle. The journey can be rough in places so do take a sea sickness tablet - I normally struggle but it worked a treat and I was fine. I would suggest taking your own food and snacks as there is very little available on board.

It was an amazing... - It was an amazing experience, the cruise team was very good, Raul the whale expert was very knowledgeable about whales and guided the tour in a fun and interesting way, after we reached high seas we were able to see the whales and it was incredible. Raul went the extra mile when ensuring to share the best video taken of a close whale encounter at sunset that amazed all of us.

Amazing experience, professional and knowledgable team. - Amazing experience can’t recommend this trip enough. Reccomend getting early to assure a good seat, but best times spent on the deck! Really cool experience very impressed with the facilities on board also!

Very comfortable, knowledgeable guides - Some confusion at the start as a large group of us arrived at the designated spot but with no boat or staff to indicate we were at the right place. There are lots of boats on the quay so it wasn’t clear whether we were at the right place.
Once on the boat the experience was much better. MS Gabrielle is warm and comfortable inside, it is not in the slightest cramped. You can access the front, rear, and top deck and there is easily enough space for everyone on board.
The 3hr journey to the whale site was generally smooth but there’s a 30 minute section where the water gets choppy - would recommend taking a tablet before getting on board.
The staff are very knowledgeable and gave detailed presentations of the four whales you might see: Orcas, Sperm whale, Humpback and Fin whale.
We had 45 mins at the feeding site and were very lucky to see a Fin Whale right in front of the boat. Otherwise we saw 5-10 humpback whales some from a distance some from close by.
There are lots of smaller boats that get closer to the whales but this practice is likely to be unethical as it disturbs them.
Overall you have to accept nature is nature when it comes to what animals you see but we were happy with the tour.

Ok but it was a pity our rib boats were cancelled - Was ok. We enjoyed it though it was a pity our rib boats were cancelled.
The crew fit a lot of effort to help the people who were not well

Go only for the whales. - Whales were not available but the substitute was over-sold. Significantly fewer birds and animals were seen than promised and the fishing village had nothing to offer.
