- Plage de Trou aux Biches - Begin your day with an extraordinary experience in Mauritius: snorkeling alongside wild, giant turtles! Embark on a boat from the island’s northwest coast and enjoy the chance to snorkel with turtles in their natural habitat. These magnificent Giant Green Sea Turtles can grow up to 1.2 meters long and weigh as much as 200 kilograms. In addition to the turtles, you’ll encounter a diverse array of marine life, including various tropical fish and coral species. Snorkeling equipment is provided (masks and snorkels - fins are not permitted)!
Note: Typically, the wild turtle swimming portion of the tour is conducted first, although this may vary depending on the tides. The total duration on the boat and snorkeling is approximately 45 minutes.
- Plage de Trou aux Biches - After your adventure, take some extra time to explore Trou aux Biches. This breathtaking beach offers ideal conditions for both swimming and snorkeling, with its calm waters and gently sloping sands. You’ll find numerous authentic street food vendors and a series of cafes along the beach, making it a perfect spot to enjoy lunch if you’re feeling hungry.
- Mont Choisy Beach - Discover one of the island’s longest beaches! While popular with locals on weekends, it remains much quieter during the week. This beach features shallow turquoise waters and a backdrop of casuarina trees, along with several food options to enjoy while taking in the stunning scenery.
- La Cuvette Public Beach - This hidden gem, located near the town of Grand Bay, is often overlooked by visitors. At just 80 meters in length, this beach is surrounded by secluded coves and rocky boulders.
- Pereybere Beach - Situated next to the resort town of Pereybere, this is one of the island’s most beloved beaches among Mauritians. The water here is slightly deeper than at most other beaches, yet remains very calm. You’ll find plenty of food stalls along the beach, as well as cafes and restaurants in the town of Pereybere.
