Day 1: Diani Beach – Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East Safari: Experience the Majestic Red Giants of Kenya - Begin your adventure with an early morning pickup from your coastal lodge or hotel. Travel along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway to the first gate of Tsavo East, entering through the Bachuma gate. As the largest park in Kenya, Tsavo East offers an incredible game drive experience with the open roof of your van, guided by a professional driver/guide.

Head to your lodge for lunch, and after a relaxing break, prepare for an evening game drive. Explore the expansive savanna plains and Yatta Plateau, with opportunities to see lions, zebras, elephants, various antelopes, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes, and more. Return to your lodge or hotel at sundown for an overnight stay, enjoying full board accommodations.

Day 2: Continuing in Tsavo East

Tsavo East Safari: Experience the Majestic Red Giants of Kenya - Enjoy a full breakfast by 7:00 AM, then check out of your lodge for a morning and mid-morning game drive. Venture into the savannah in search of the Big Five and other wildlife, including giraffes, wildebeests, warthogs, hyenas, zebras, jackals, wild dogs, buffaloes, leopards, various antelopes, and elephants. By around 10:00 AM, check out from Tsavo East and proceed to Taita Hills Sanctuary, arriving around lunchtime with a brief game drive. After lunch, relax at your lodge until 4:00 PM, when the cooler temperatures bring wildlife back to graze and the cats to hunt. Return to Saltlick Lodge around 6:30 PM for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Tsavo East – Mombasa

Tsavo East Safari: Experience the Majestic Red Giants of Kenya - Start your day with a morning coffee before embarking on an early game drive at 6:30 AM. Explore the sanctuary in search of wildlife, with a chance to see shy nocturnal creatures returning to their dens and big cats enjoying their previous night’s hunt. After a hearty breakfast, check out of your lodge and enjoy a final game drive before leaving the sanctuary. Return to your coastal hotel for drop-off.
