Cai Be - Guests will be picked up from their hotel at 8:00 am to embark on an exciting journey. The first destination is the Cai Be Pier on the majestic Mekong River. Relax as the ‘sampan’ (a traditional motorized boat) glides through the tranquil canals. These hidden waterways are surrounded by lush greenery and local villages, offering a vibrant display of colors and culture.
Next, the tour continues on the dry land of Tan Phong Island. After a brief visit to a delightful fruit orchard, guests will enjoy the captivating music of Vietnam during a local performance and take a guided bicycle tour of this wonderful island. Along the way, visitors will meet native families and discover how they utilize the land to create everything from delicate rice paper to sturdy home roofs. A local family will serve a delicious Mekong lunch featuring freshly made spring rolls, fried pumpkin flowers, and beautifully braised pork in coconut juice.
Vinh Long - Following the special Mekong lunch, the journey continues by boat into the smaller canals of the delta. Here, guests can closely observe the daily lives of local people and farmers. Witness the craftsmanship of local merchants preparing tasty coconut candy, rice wine, unique hand-crafted pottery, and bricks made from scratch. The tour then proceeds to the Vinh Long Pier and market, showcasing even more of the Mekong’s specialties.
Finally, the tour heads to Can Tho for accommodation. Guests will have the opportunity to relax and explore the vibrant nightlife and delicious cuisine of the night market in this remarkable town during their overnight stay.
Cai Rang Floating Market - Vinh Trang Pagoda - Ho Chi Minh
Cai Rang Floating Market - On the second day, the tour starts early to maximize the day. Guests will board a private boat to visit Cai Rang, the largest floating market in Asia. Experience local produce being sold directly from boat to boat. There is an opportunity to purchase products and enjoy a morning coffee at one of the charming floating coffee shops.
Vinh Trang Temple - After the market, guests return to the hotel for a well-deserved breakfast. After checking out, the tour proceeds to My Tho to visit the stunning Vinh Trang Pagoda. The guide will lead a tour of the impressive five-acre site, explaining the temple’s history and showcasing its unique architecture and sculptures. After an engaging and enjoyable day, the tour returns to Ho Chi Minh City, where guests will be dropped off at their accommodation.
