11.30: You will stop at Frog Pond (trail from Park gate to Frog Pond is 6 km). This is the largest freshwater lake in the middle of the National Forest. From the bottom of the pond, reaching up to thousands of trees and water - the species is only found in the Frog Ponds not found anywhere else on the island. There are many types of fish and crab in the pond.
12.00 - 13.00: Continue the journey from Frog Pond to Viet Hai village (3.5 km). This is a small village of local residents with about 100 families.
13.00: Have lunch and take a rest at Viet Hai village, take a fun experience by fish massage your feet.
14.00: Free to explore the lives of people in the village, cycling 5km to Viet Hai harbor.
15.00: Boat will take you through Lan Ha Bay, you have a chance to admire the scenery of beautiful Lan Ha Bay, Cai Beo fishing village. Our boat will stop at a floating house to take kayak then rows to a wild beach for swimming.
16.45: Back to Cai Beo pier, car take you to Cat Ba town.

Brilliant - An awesome hike through the jungle. Views were lovely and we got to see lots of nature/animals. Tri, our guide was such good fun and so knowledgeable and passionate about the nature and animals around us. Lunch was also delicious. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing day :) - The Day Excursion in Cat Ba National Park was simply Amazing!
Anh knows the park and the trail very well and he cares about giving complete information and also funny anecdotes.
The day was full and the activities exactly as described: hiking, lunch at the village, cycling to the docks, boat tour, kayaking and finally swimming! :)
I truly recommend this excursion to anyone who was a full a very active day!!

100% recommended - great day in Cat Ba - The trip was perfectly organized and our guide Ang was the best leader ever! Moreover, he was filming us and taking pictures during the trip and we got a perfect video of the trip at the end, such an unexpected extra! Thank you!
The trip started from picking us up at the hotel, we had a small 6 person group which guaranteed personal experience. We went to the national park which is well kept. It is truly a hiking trip so be prepared for some sweat. It includes climbing on rocks where you have to use your hands and be cautious of tripping - it was exciting though, and the views are so rewarding. The hike ends at the Viet Hai village where you have tasty lunch and some fish massage (not for the faint-hearted!). Then we visited a cave and after that, there is 4 kilometers bike ride through picturesque areas (not steep). A boat took us to a beautiful beach on one of the islands in Long Ha bay, and then we got to admire sunset on the boat back to the Cai Bai port. Would recommend 11/10, if you are an active person.

One-Day Hiking Cat Ba National Park - We had a great interesting hike day with a passionate guide who takes the time to explain to us. offers us to take pictures. A good meal after walking and Amazing landscapes, I recommend.

A Unique, personalised and amazing trip~ rare to find with the Cat Bar crowds. - Around every courner a suprise. Ttreck was beautiful through the jungle. Not too demanding but challenging enough. 4 hours seemed like 2. After the delicious food in the village, a short bike ride to the boat. The boat was a small fishing type boat which suited the trips unique and personlised approach. We were a small group(4-6) and we felt looked after. All other trips we noticed from this point were 20plus people. We kayaked as a small group for a while before heading of in the boat to land on an isolated small (paradise style) beach to swim.
The guide, Anh was caring, calm and knowledeable. He coped with all our mixed trecking pace, characters and constantly made the trip personalised. To top it all off he recored footage, and produced a memoriable video of our time (which he sent within a few hours of us finishing the day).
This trip is worth every penny. Small groups, great guide and away from the crowds.

Mega cool day with lots of activities - We did the Full Day Hiking Tour on 30.03.25. Due to the weather forecast, we had long considered whether to book a tour at all or just the half-day tour. However, after consultation with our hotel receptionist from the Phoenix Flower Hotel, decided for the full-day tour. And it was a very good decision.
The weather was great for hiking, cycling and kayaking.
It was a bit too cold for bathing, but this didn't make the tour any worse.
I found the coolest the different activities that are part of this tour.
First you "fight" through a jungle, then hop on the bike and then with a small motorboat to the. Kayaking to go further.
The nature and views in the jungle are just as beautiful as the view which later offers on the water.
Our guide Anh accompanied us super well.
Communication in English was smooth and his funny and charming manner, made the whole day more memorable.
5/5 even if it should not have been with the bathing, I gladly recommend the tour.

A great day full of adventure - Thank you for an amazing tour today. We loved the hike through limestone jungle so fun and beautiful! I will never forget fish feet and the beautiful bike ride was a big hit too. A fun packed day with dream kayaking through Lan Ha bay and topped with a sunset swim! You exceeded our expectations at every turn, you are a high quality guide, I highly recommend you. It was really a good experience to have a small group and Anh was so thoughtful of everyone's needs.

Incredible way to experience the national park - What an absolutely incredible day! Amazing sites and stunning nature made all the better by my awesome guide Anh. He had so many facts to share about the park and always kept the energy up despite it just being the two of us. I felt safe and confident trekking with him (even through a little rain). Anh even put together an amazing video showcasing the entire day, from the hiking and fish massage to the biking and kayaking. You truly experience so much on this tour - it is 100% worth it.
