- Taino Valley Tropical Park - The guide will introduce visitors to the diverse flora including flowers, trees, palms, plants, bamboo, fruits, vegetables, and condiments thriving in the Dominican mountains. Some flowers are uniquely Caribbean in their growth patterns. Scattered throughout the park are small statues from the Taino era, each representing a Taino deity. The guide provides detailed explanations of each statue and the significance of the Taino gods. The forest’s streams flow into several natural ponds teeming with fish, which guests are welcome to feed. Along the path, there is a scenic viewpoint with benches offering views of a lush valley framed by mountains, perfect for photography and relaxation. Restrooms are conveniently located at the viewpoint. Visitors also have the opportunity to observe animals up close, including a variety of birds, goats, guinea pigs, donkeys, ducks, and more.

Taino Valley Tropical Park - Our Taino Valley Hike was so mesmerizing. We were picked up on time by our guide and driver Enrique who was so kind and welcoming! We headed to Taino Valley and got an immersive tour of the flora as well as some of the native culture of the land from a knowledgeable source. The hike took about an hour and a half. Come with hiking shoes and don’t forget bug spray! (the mosquitoes will be on a hunt) Incredibly worth it for nature lovers and adventurous travelers! Enrique is the BEST!

Above & Beyond Exceptional - Arien provided us a last-minute opportunity to see some incredible foliage, plants, animals, and vistas with their various histories and uses to the local area—all situated amidst a dozen or so statues of the ancient Taino gods and goddesses, providing a beautiful midday excursion. He also worked with us to ensure proper transportation to and from our hotel and provided some wonderful fruit at the tour’s conclusion. Also the souvenir stand had incredible wares that are off-the-beaten-path, and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a rather unique time in Puerto Plata!

Beautiful nature reserve - What an amazing place. So much to see. Flowers, fruit trees and statues were incredible. Amazing view at the view point.
Make sure you were good shoes as the paths can be slippery in the shady areas. Also buy a drink at its quite a long way around. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful piece of nature - What a great walk through a very special environment. We walked around leisurely for 1.5 to 2 hours. And enjoyed great nature and animals with a high cuddly content. Paul showed us the route and gave us some food for the animals. Highly recommended. We were there with our own transport, which went very well. Make sure you wear good shoes because the paths can sometimes be slippery and the last part is quite uphill (for untrained runners) quite difficult. Here they really do a good job of preserving a beautiful piece of nature.

Spectacular views, stunning flowers, easy walking path - The place is spectacular, very well mapped out, great walking paths, stunning folage and the views, spectaculas.....I was so impressed , I even got a beautiful bouqet to take home.

Amazing experience - Magnificent place, where you are accompanied by a prepared and kind guide. It is a walk in nature among trees, flowers, fruits and animals, an experience that gives you peace as well as culture. Here you are introduced to the local fauna and flora, as well as the history of the Taino (the native people of the DR). Thanks go to the owner Paul for his kindness and his willingness to welcome. It is absolutely a place to visit.

A well spent morning - We had an amazing visit. The guide was super knowledgeable and very friendly. We loved the petting zoo and the chance to interact with the animals. It will definitely be on our list for all our visitors from now on.

Tropical valley tour - I’m not much for sight seeing, however I brought my mom and aunt along on this trip. And this particular tour was booked more for their enjoyment. From what I took, they really really enjoyed this tour. So many beautiful flowers, trees, and plants. It was nostalgic for them as they grew up in a similar country with similar tropical surroundings. They took tons and tons of photos, and I’m sure it is an experience they won’t forget.

Taino Valley Tour - Taking pictures of the statues, plants, flowers, trees, and fruits. The vegetation and scenery is very nice and peaceful. Enrique was our tour guide and he took some awesome pictures for us. So we had a tour guide and photographer. I had on good walking shoes, but forgot to bring mosquitoes repellent. Those mosquitoes seemed to like B+ blood haha. The mosquitoes didn’t like my wife. They provided bottle water at the beginning of the tour. The owner even provided a refreshing snack (banana, dragon fruit, sweet lemon, and orange) after the tour and chatted with us.
