Stroll through Barrio Viejo, a neighborhood that experienced significant growth in the late 1800s and early 1900s, becoming a melting pot of ethnic diversity. Admire the former Carnegie Library building, now the Children’s Museum. Explore a 2 ½-mile loop through downtown Tucson, highlighting the city’s Spanish Colonial architecture and historic sites. The Turquoise Trail Walking Tour starts at the Presidio Museum, located at 196 N. Court Avenue, and is easily navigable thanks to a distinctive turquoise line painted on the sidewalk.

A self-guided tour brochure is available for $2 at the Historic Pima County Court House Visitor Center or the Presidio Museum.

A GPS-guided app named “Turquoise Trail” can be downloaded from Google Play or the App Store for $5.
The entire walk takes between 90 minutes to two hours, but it can also be enjoyed in segments. The trail is fully accessible for wheelchairs and scooters.
With over 30 restaurants located within a few blocks of the trail, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy a meal along the way.
