Tour Guides were great! Listing misleading. - Overall, I’m only giving this a great rating because of my tour guides Estrella, Max, and Kuhuil. They were very helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire tour and gave specific instructions to make sure the day went smoothly. My only complaint is that the tour listing on Viator made no mention of a stop in Playa del Carmen which increased the time of the tour an additional hour and a half from what I was expecting.

Great time at Tulum ruins and nearby cenotes - Guides Angel and Luis were super friendly, full of information, and communicated very effectively, considering the bus load of people they needed to coordinate. The Tulum ruins were beautiful and extensive. Angel made a point of highlighting mural carving details and Mayan cultural background that any of us would have otherwise missed. (I shared the unique way that Mayans count with their fingers with my 9 yo daughter afterwards and she was fascinated.) btw be prepared to stand / walk in scorching sun while at the ruins, as there’s little shade (but totally worth it).
As for the cenotes, I didn’t know what to expect (never visited before) but they were beautiful, refreshing, and explored at one’s own pace. Good mix of open air (esp first one) and cave with “skylight” ( second one). Amenities (bathrooms, life preservers, hammocks, food options) were great too.

Great half day tour - Great combination of Tulum ruins and cenotes. Cenotes were both awesome - a must-do as a break from the resorts.

Beautiful nature & wonderful guides - We had a wonderful day. The guides, Moo and Estrella, were really funny and made the day extra fun and the driver was also very nice. The cenotes were beautiful and this trip is a good one if you want to know some more about the Mayan culture. Definitely would recommend!

Tulum ruins, two cenotes, family of 4 forming core memories - Luis Estrella and Angel Kauil were fantastic tour guides and showed our family of four a wonderful time, visiting Tulum ruins and two cenotes. Both men were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and also very accommodating of different needs within the larger tour group. For example, after swimming and eating lunch (delicious, authentic cochinita pibil and lots of other options) when we needed to get on the bus at the end of the day, my kids were taking a bit longer but Luis said not to hurry or worry as there was a way for us to jump back on the bus after the rest of the group without holding everyone up. It's a challenge traveling with kids (mine are 6 and 4) but our guides were patient, helpful and fun.
Snacks, drinks and water was provided, and the meal we purchased at the village next to the cenotes was so good and affordable (1020mxn for two adults and two kids).
The cenotes were definitely the highlight of the day. One was open, well-lit, surrounded by jungle. The other was a cave pool with an oculus of sky and jungle, with incredible light. Photographers and social media, selfie queens will be happy. Swimming in the water was lovely and I'm sure these will be core memories for my kids
I highly recommend this tour, and I am not someone who usually does guided tours. Also the bus was clean and comfortable. It did take a while to get the guests from various resorts and hotels but it was worth it to not have to drive ourselves.
