Carthage, established by the Phoenicians in 814 BC, offers a glimpse into its ancient past with the earliest Punic settlements visible on Byrsa Hill, located just below the famous Carthage National Museum. Although the Romans destroyed it in 146 BC, recent excavations have uncovered the foundations of five-story Punic homes, each equipped with its own cistern and drainage system.

Continue the adventure by exploring the Tunis Medina, one of the world’s best-preserved Islamic cities. Stroll through its narrow streets, admiring the architecture of residential areas and lively souks.
