Day 1: Urumqi - Turpan - Kashgar (L, D)

Begin your day with an early morning pickup from the lobby of your Urumqi hotel. Accompanied by your tour guide, head to Urumqi Train Station to board a bullet train. Enjoy the breathtaking views during the 2-hour journey to Turpan. Your knowledgeable tour guide will provide insights into the Silk Road, along with Chinese history and culture. Feel free to discuss your interests with your guide and select two attractions to visit in Turpan:

Day 2: Kashgar - Urumqi (L)

Meet your guide at 10:00 am to begin your exploration of the 2000-year-old ancient city, rich in customs, stories, and traditional homes. Experience the atmosphere of this legendary Central Asian hub during the height of the Silk Road.

Continue to the Id Kah Mosque, a prime example of Uygur Islamic architecture. As one of China’s largest mosques, it can host up to 20,000 people for religious events or Friday prayers. The mosque is bustling, and its expansive esplanade serves as a gathering spot.

Enjoy an authentic local lunch at a nearby restaurant. Then, visit the renowned Apakh Hoja Tomb, the most sacred site in Xinjiang for Muslims and an architectural gem. Also known as the Xiang Fei (Fragrant Concubine) Tomb, it commemorates Abakh Khoja’s granddaughter, Iparhan, the Fragrant Concubine of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty.

Your guide will escort you to Kashgar Airport for your evening flight back to Urumqi. Upon arrival, your driver will transfer you to your hotel in Urumqi.
