Discover the enchanting beauty of Tawharanui Regional Park after dark, revealing a world of natural splendor and rich biodiversity. With minimal light pollution, Tawharanui is a paradise for stargazers, offering exceptional views of the night sky filled with stars, planets, and celestial wonders.

As the sun sets, Tawharanui’s nocturnal inhabitants come to life, providing a chance to observe native species in their natural habitat. Look out for the elusive North Island brown kiwi, along with other night-time birds, insects, and reptiles, as they engage in their nightly activities.

Glamping tents are provided by SNM, fully furnished and available approximately 2 hours before the tour begins. Campsite bookings must be made and paid for in advance through the Auckland Council Tawharanui Camping website.
