A Must Experience in all senses. - This was a Highlight in the entire 13 days we were in Cambodia and Vietnam !!! What a treat and how great was to have talen this Culinary Experience.
Not only very professional and complete, but simple, fun and very educational.
The reason is simple, Trang, Mango and their Team (believe it or not, these are the names of two (2) of the beautiful Girls that organized and performed all this wonderful activity for 20 of us) and couldn’t imagine this experience to be so phenomenal.
Took us to the market, explained every ingredient we were going to use in the dishes we were to prepare together later, and then the venue is superb; located in the middle of Hanoi but secluded in this silent neighborhood with beautiful vegetation and peaceful environment.
The Patio with Garden, Kitchen and the entire location is set up to be a very successful business as they are guided by the supreme energy of these Ladies.
Thank you so much and will share my first attempt for any of the Spring Rolls, Bun Bo or the Pho you all taught us to make.

A Hidden Culinary Gem in Hanoi - The cooking workshop with Trang was truly an unforgettable experience. She shared not only her deep knowledge of food and cooking techniques, but also stories about history and everyday life in Hanoi, which made the class so much more than just learning recipes. Trang is a true expert-captivating, engaging, and an inspiring teacher.
The setting itself was magical, a hidden paradise right in the heart of Hanoi, where we cooked together. The visits to the markets were a highlight as well: shopping for herbs, fruits, mushrooms, and vegetables while learning about the vendors and the rhythm of daily life made everything come alive in a very special way. In addition to the market tour, Trang guided me through theirs local garden, where we picked fresh herbs for our dishes-learning about flavors, aromas, seasonality, and the climate that shapes local fruits and vegetables. Every detail of the class is so thoughtfully designed, weaving together an incredible storytelling of experiences.
Thank you so much, Trang, for sharing your passion and hospitality - it was an incredible journey into Vietnamese cuisine and culture!

Incredible experience, beautifully styled and professionally presented and ran - We had a lovely day with Mango, Trang and staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. The venue was beautifully styled and an absolute delight to find ourselves in such a lovely space.
Mango was a fabulous guide and facilitator and we thoroughly enjoyed our time and highly recommend to anyone thinking of trying their hand at Vietnamese cooking while in Hanoi.

An experience of seeing a completely different side of Vietnam. Super Recommended‼︎ - I have participated in cooking classes all over the world, and this class was exceptional.
It starts with the thrill of cutting the front of a pack of bikes with a cyclo. A sun-smiling mango will guide you around the market smelling and eating various herbs, spices and fruits. It was a valuable opportunity to learn about the flavor and benefits of each herb that I hadn't noticed when I ate the food at the restaurant. She also bought black bean paste at a cheap small lot, which you can't usually buy at her favorite spice wholesale store, even though it was a sudden request.
From there, we took a taxi to a back alley where the hustle and bustle of town would reach us. ??? Beyond the anxiety, there was another world.

A clean kitchen, meticulous staff hospitality, a lean program, stories of Vietnamese daily life and culture... I can't write enough about it, but spoilers are too wasteful, so check it out for yourself.

A just do for foodies - This was 100% a must do if you are into food. The pre-tour of the markets was so good and our guide and chef Mango was very knowledgable on the local product. She has a great style and sense of humour and this made cooking very enjoyable and the eating even more so. The setting is an outdoor garden adding both beauty and tranquility to a pretty much perfect day

Mango was so friendly and enthusiastic about sharing Vietnamese flavours and knowledge.
The environment is beautiful in an oasis of peace and greenery. Making favourite dishes with top notch ingredients and learning skills to make it as best as possible. Big thank you!

Cooking Class in Hanoi in French or English Language - We had a great time at Thom Culinary in a Unique Vegetable Garden during the bustle of the city. We learned recipes for typical Vietnamese dishes.

Amazing Instructor and Incredible Food! - My Mum and I took this class with Mango, she was absolutely amazing! We were shown the local markets, Mango explained how the meat and vegetable market worked. We had snacks along the way throughout the market, trying new fruits and the local pork belly.
Once we got to the kitchen, the smells were unforgettable! I wish I could give this tour 10 stars! Amazing experience, I would do it again anyway.

Not to be missed when in Hanoi - I wish I could give this activity 6 stars - from start to finish it was such a joy! Chef Mango was a delightful guide. The setting for the class is special - hidden away from the chaos of the city in a tranquil setting. Visually, it was spectacular - from the vibrant produce at the market to the ingredients displayed at the kitchen. A photographers dream! We had so many laughs and learnt a lot about Vietnamese cuisine. It is clear that the school uses quality ingredients (sea worm for the umami flavoring for the pho soup, and lovely lean beef for another dish) and our tutor was a legitimate restaurant chef who provided nuanced information and was very patient with us. This wasn’t your typical mass tourism experience - it is clear that a lot of love and thought has gone into creating the experience. I did this with my 12 year old son - it was a wonderful experience for us both - the cyclo ride was a nice intro and the food we prepared was delicious. Highly recommend.

Cooking experience - The cooking experience with Mango of Thom Culinary was exceptional! She took us through the market and showed us different herbs, spices, vegetables and fruits. We then went to her home where she showed us her garden as well as the family shrine which she explained to us. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious! She clearly loves what she does and sharing her knowledge and cooking skills. The foods we prepared were delicious! Great value for the money, fabulous experience! Highly recommended +++
