A fantastic story-telling of Suffragettes in Newcastle - I joined Helen on her Deeds not Words tour of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and although I am familiar with the Suffragette story, especially Emily Wilding Davison, I learned so much about what actually happened in Newcastle. Helen was dynamic and passionate with her storytelling, and she made me see my city through new eyes. I would definitely recommend this tour - it was easy walking and really interesting.

An inspiring walk around Newcastle - As it's women's history month I set myself an aim of learning about an influential women each day and when a friend suggested we do this I jumped at the chance of learning more about those women who really made a difference. This tour is relaxed and you can take your time walking between destinations, there are slight banks but nothing huge although quite a few cobbled streets. Helen is full of information and we got a few bonus stories on the way round, you can tell she enjoys this type of thing. Shes open to questions and comments too. Very interesting to hear about things that actually happened where you stand and you feel even more connected when there are local links too. Im going away very much feeling inspired and wanting to learn more about some of the women Helen spoke about. Will definitely be recommending to my friends.

Thoroughly enjoyed this 'Deeds Not Words' tour of Newcastle. - Thoroughly enjoyed this 'Deeds Not Words' tour of Newcastle. First off, the guide was brilliant. I was blown away by her storytelling and her ability to keep a group of random people absolutely enthralled for over an hour. I believe her knowledge and infectious passion for her craft went a long way in making this tour so good. The tour itself was gently paced (I'm not the fastest of walkers due to an illness, but never felt pressured to hurry) and there were no perilous steps or steep slopes to worry about. This is the first tour I've been on which ended too soon.
