A beautiful insight into a beautiful land and people - What makes this special is the ability to talk with a local and get a deeper understanding of the country - it's customs, people, politics, life in general. Starting at the tea house was uncomfortable to begin, feeling like I was walking into a tourist trap, but to be fair, the tea/coffee tasting tray is really interesting! The walking is very easy for those who don't have balance issues - it wouldn't be appropriate for anyone requiring walking aids. The UNESCO sites are amazing (I had no idea of the duration & complexity of Balinese history - my ignorance), but the local experiences just as special - having a chat with a very friendly elderly gentleman about his time working in Kuta 20 years ago (translated through my guide, Eddie) & his granddaughter - off to Uni to study pharmacy whilst sitting in a rice paddy, drinking from a coconut. Many thanks to Eddie, my guide, who was very generous with his time & insights. I don't understand why this hasn't been reviewed more often? Whilst you could see the sights independently, you will only get the experience with a local

Simply Amazing ! - The walk is a very special thing to do, as you learn about the local culture and you can see a local life in day to day business. I think for me it was a very special experience as I had the best guide, ever. Dewa is a real gentleman, ensuring your safety during your walk in the forest. Not mention his wide knowledge about nature and temples, which it was really refreshing and exactly what made this trip worthwhile. Thank you, Dewa for such a lovely day. Just a note guys, it is cheaper to book it online than in your hotel, which I learned after, unfortunately.
