Hello Nature Protects & Educates - Hello Nature Adventure Tours is one of the cohosts of this years’ World Ocean Day (WOD) beach clean up activities taking place in the ocean village of Ucluelet, where the kayaking adventure tour company is located on Hemlock Street, near the small craft harbor. It is one of a number of cohosts this year, which include the Ucluelet Aquarium (UA) SurfRider, The Den, Ucluelet Brewing Co (UBC) & some other businesses in the ocean village known affectionately to locals as “Ukee”. Hello Nature is well-known & highly- regarded, not only for the knowledgeable staff it has running its tours — which range in duration from half-day to week-long tours —but also for its environmental stewardship. It expresses it protective attitude towards the ocean & the environment thus: kayaking on the west coast is protecting the west coast. It is fully aware of how important it is for its business — as well as the region in which it is situated — that the ocean is kept healthy, along with the sea creatures which live in it. Given its attitudes & commitments, it is no surprise it is one of the cohosts of this year’s ocean clean up event on Sunday June 8th. The WOD ocean clean up event in Ukee kicks off at the UA, just off the ocean’s edge, at 5 pm with signed- up participant dividing up into traveling to four ocean spots they have selected to help clean up, returning @ 8pm to the UA for festivities, which include trivia & some sipping of great craft beers supplied by UBC. I signed up for the harbour, also for my friends visiting from the UK. The WOD event ends at 9:30 pm. The prices for Hello Natures tours range widely depending of the duration. Its web site lists the prices of the various kayaking tour options. Giving the quality of tours, & the reputation of Hello Nature all tours offer good value. Kayaking customers are assured that all levels of expertise can be accommodated. They also can, while kayaking, usually catch sight of myriad wild life, which includes bears, deers, other sea animals & birds such as bald eagles. Posted by S Fuller

We had the BEST day! - We booked a kayak tour of the Ucluelet harbour for my birthday, since we were visiting the area. We were a little worried only because we had only kayaked once before but on a calm lake. Kevin put all our worries to rest, he was so helpful, got us familiar with the kayaks and settled right in. Marina was our guide on the water and she was so amazing. We had calm waters and sunshine... it was so perfect! Marina was very knowledgeable about the eco-systems and knew exactly where to take us to see and experience the true wonders of the area. We were so happy we did this tour, it was a perfect way to celebrate my birthday and I would 100% recommend Hello Nature Adventure Tours to anyone coming to experience the area.

Not to be missed! - While in Ucluelet at the start of November, I discovered the Hello Nature area when walking along the docks and opted to book a last minute tour of the harbour on one of my final days there. I couldn't have asked for a better time. Kevin was excellent in making sure I was able to get a trip in before leaving, and having a chance to paddle around the harbour and learn more about the area from the excellent guide (whose name I forgot, I'm so sorry, but she was excellent!!) really made the experience even better. I would absolutely book with them again next time I'm back as some of the other tours they offer sound really incredible, and getting a chance to do them with some locals who are familiar with the area and its history adds so much. I would definitely recommend them.

Lovely morning kayaking and wildlife spotting in Ucluelet - Fantastic morning spent with our lovely and very knowledgeable guide Sam, kayaking around the harbour at Ucluelet. We explored the inter tidal areas, spotting colourful sea stars, checked out kelp forests and eel grass meadows, we also saw harbour seals, bald eagles and a black bear. We would definitely recommend taking a tour with Hello Nature, I’m very much a beginner kayaker and the pace was perfect, the rudders on the kayaks really helped too.
