Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum - The Umaid Bhawan Palace is situated beside the royal blue city of Jodhpur. It is an architectural marvel, nearly 75 years old. It is considered one of the few “living forts” in the world, as nearly one-fourth of the old city’s population still resides within the fort. For much of its 860-year history, the fort was the city of Jaisalmer.

Jain Temples - Within Jaisalmer Fort lie 7 Jain temples, showcasing beautiful structural designs. From ceilings to tombs to gateways, every part of these temples is adorned with mirrors, frescoes, carvings, etc. These temples were built in the 12th and 15th centuries and are dedicated to various Jain Tirthankars (Hermits). The temple walls feature animal and human figures carved in the famous Dilwara temple style. The Jain temple has a Gyan Bhandar, a library, which attracts many tourists.

Salim Singh-ki Haveli - Salim Singh Ki Haveli was built in 1815 by Salim Singh, the prime minister of the kingdom when Jaisalmer was the capital. This mansion was constructed without cement and mortar; the stones are connected with strong iron rods. This mansion is famous for its distinctive architecture, featuring 38 gracefully carved balconies. The architecture is inspired by a dancing peacock. One of the most ambitious constructions of its time, the Haveli was so magnificent that it even invited the ruler’s envy during its era.

Kothari’s Patwaon-Ki-Haveli - In Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, stands a classical architectural marvel known as Patwon ki Haveli. Situated near the Patwa valley, this haveli comprises 5 different palaces and is also known as the house of the brocade merchants, as it was built by a wealthy brocade merchant and jeweler. The 5 mansions were meant for 5 Patwa brothers. Currently, one haveli accommodates guests, while two others are under the authority of the Archaeological Survey of India. Inside the mansion, there is a museum and shop for antique furniture. The mansion is made of yellow sandstone with a brown gateway. The walls are adorned with exquisite mirror works and beautiful paintings. There are lattice or jali carvings, which let sunlight illuminate the place. It has about 60 balconies in total. Once the sightseeing in Jaisalmer is complete, drive to Sam dunes for a camel ride and sunset in the desert. Overnight at Jaisalmer Desert Tent with a cultural program and dinner.

Originally called Chintamani, it was renamed Junagarh or “Old Fort” in the early 20th century when the ruling family moved to Lalgarh Palace outside the fort limits.

Karni Mata Temple - The Karni Mata Mandir in Bikaner is renowned not for its location or architecture, but for being home to over 25,000 rats that inhabit and freely roam the temple complex. These creatures can be seen emerging from crevices in the walls and floors, often passing over the feet of visitors and devotees. Consuming food items nibbled on by these rats is regarded as a holy practice here. People from different parts of India and abroad come to witness this astounding spectacle and bring milk, sweets, and other offerings for these sacred beings. Among all the rats, white rats are considered especially sacred as they are believed to be the incarnations of Karni Mata and her sons. Visitors make great efforts to draw them out, often by offering sweets. However, harming or killing a rat, even accidentally, is a serious sin in this temple. Those who commit this act must replace the dead rat with one made of gold as penance.

National Research Centre on Camel - The National Research Centre on Camel, Bikaner, is a premier research center located in Bikaner city, Rajasthan. Recognizing the importance of camels in the socio-economic development of arid and semi-arid zones, the Government of India established a Project Directorate on Camel at Bikaner on July 5, 1984, under the aegis of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), which was upgraded to the National Research Centre on Camel (NRCC) on September 20, 1995. It is located in the Jorbeer area of Bikaner city, about 8 km from the main city. The mandates of this institute are: 1. Basic and applied research for improving camel health and production; 2. Information repository on camel research and development; and 3. Development of camel eco-tourism. This center is also known as ‘Camel Farm’ among locals. The camel farm maintains an elite herd of more than 300 camels, comprising Bikaneri, Jaisalmeri, Kachchhi, and Mewari breeds.

Lalgarh Palace and Museum - This vibrant palace was designed by Sir Swinton Jacob and built by Maharaja Ganga Singh. This grand architecture was constructed using red sandstones. The Lalgarh Palace is a classic example of Indian, European, and Mughal architecture and is famous for its lattice sandstones. The palace also houses a museum and the fourth largest private library in the world. The complex features magnificent pillars, elaborate fireplaces, Italian colonnades, and intricate latticework and filigree work. The Karni Niwas wing houses the Darbar hall and an art deco indoor swimming pool.

Hawa Mahal - Palace of Wind - After breakfast at 9:00 a.m., embark on a full day of sightseeing in Jaipur (Pink City). Hawa Mahal is a structure made of red and pink sandstone with a pyramidal shape resembling a crown. It features 953 tiny windows, known as ‘Jharokhas,’ adorned with beautiful latticework. Inside, the Hawa Mahal palace is based on five floors, each with a uniquely decorated chamber. A charming fountain welcomes you inside the main palace, from where you can explore the different floors. The top of the palace offers a brilliant view of the City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the bustling Siredeori Bazar. There is also a small museum with rich relics and miniature paintings.

Amber Fort - One of Jaipur’s top tourist attractions, the grand Amer Palace Fort sits atop a small hill, located about 11 km from the main city. The magnificent Amer Fort is an extensive palace complex built with pale yellow and pink sandstone and white marble. The fort is divided into four main sections, each with its own courtyard.
Upon arrival at the Amer Fort, enter through the Suraj Pol, unless arriving by car, in which case enter via the Chand Pol. Both gates open into the Jaleb Chowk, the main courtyard, where returning armies once displayed their plunder to the people. The fort has several sections, including the King’s quarters, the zenana (where the women lived), gardens, temples, etc.
There are many attractions to see at the Amer Fort, including the diwan-e-aam, such mandir, and the Sheesh Mahal.

Jaigarh Fort - Jaigarh Fort is a monumental fort located on the Aravalli Ranges of Rajasthan, towering at an impressive height of 500m above sea level. The fort was constructed in 1726 by the famous Raja Jai Singh II to fortify the Amer Fort.

In fact, you can see an unobstructed view of Amer Fort and its complex from Jaigarh Fort and also witness a breathtaking view of the green hills and lakes surrounding the fort. It is one of the most distinctive historical monuments in the Jaipur area and has many unique features.

The largest cannon in the world, called the Jaivana Cannon, can be found inside the premises. The cannon was built inside Jaigarh Fort itself and is said to have participated in many famous Rajput battles and wars. Other attractions inside the fort include the Vilas Mandir, the Aram Mandir, Laxmi Vilas, and the Lalit Mandir.

City Palace of Jaipur - The original structure of City Palace was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II, who started with the outer wall. Over the decades, buildings and courtyards were added to the premises, so all the structures inside the palace bear different timestamps.
The architectural style of City Palace is a beautiful blend of Rajput, European, and Mughal styles. Built out of red and pink sandstone, this palace has vast courtyards surrounded by several arched smaller palaces. These small palaces have now been converted into museums, and tourists can explore the palace either on their own or with a guided tour.
