Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Upon arrival, you will receive a warm welcome and be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. A stop will be made at the Uganda Equator crossing in Kayabwe for a delightful photo opportunity. Here, you can also engage in water experiments to demonstrate the geographical division between the southern and northern hemispheres. Afterwards, proceed to the Igongo Cultural Centre, located 12 kilometers before Mbarara town, for lunch. Sampling some local cuisine is highly recommended to enhance your experience.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Adventure
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Following an early breakfast and with a packed lunch, you will attend a briefing by the park guide at the headquarters regarding gorilla trekking. Then, embark on a hike into the forest to seek out the captivating mountain gorillas. Witness their intriguing eyes and feeding habits, among other fascinating characteristics of these ancient and endangered apes. Gorilla tracking can last up to 8 hours, depending on the weather and the gorillas’ location at the time. Bwindi is home to at least 400 mountain gorillas, with 12 groups habituated for trekking. Trekking is conducted in four regions: Ruhijja, Buhoma, Nkuringo, and Rushaga.
Day 3: Return to Entebbe International Airport
Entebbe - Start your day with a delicious breakfast before we drive back to the airport for your departure flight, marking the conclusion of your safari adventure. Lunch will be enjoyed during the journey.
