Entebbe - The final morning in Bwindi is bittersweet. The forest, once mysterious and impenetrable, now feels like an old friend. After breakfast, the journey back to Entebbe begins, with memories of the gorilla encounter still vivid. Along the way, a stop at the Equator offers the perfect opportunity to capture the moment and perhaps acquire a few handcrafted souvenirs as a reminder of the journey.
Upon arrival in Entebbe, there’s time to freshen up and reflect on the incredible journey just completed. The driver takes you to the international airport for the flight home. As the plane ascends above the clouds, reflections on the past three days fill you with gratitude and awe. You have ventured into one of the last true wildernesses on Earth, gazed into the eyes of a mountain gorilla, and felt a connection that transcends time. This journey will remain a cherished memory of time spent in the heart of the wild.
