Journey from Kampala to Bwindi Forest
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - The guide will collect guests from their hotel after breakfast, then depart from Entebbe/Kampala by road, heading southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. There will be a stopover for an informative talk and a wonderful photographic opportunity at the Equator, followed by a continuation to Mbarara town for lunch. The journey proceeds through the rolling green hills of banana and tea plantations en route to the National Park.
Gorilla Trekking Adventure
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - In the early morning, after breakfast with a packed lunch, guests will report to the Park headquarters for a briefing from park officials. Accompanied by guides, they will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth to locate the gorillas, which may take from half an hour to three-quarters of the day. The steeply forested terrain is incredibly dense but interwoven with numerous animal trails, providing access for tourists. Visitors are allowed one hour with the gorillas for photography and observation as they play, feed, and groom.
Return to Kampala
Kampala - Following an early morning breakfast, guests will drive back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport for evening flights. This day is reserved for evening flights through Entebbe International Airport, or a post-night stay can be arranged in either Kampala or Entebbe. If a post-night stay is desired, please inform us in advance.
