Pickup in Kampala and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - Guests will be collected from their hotel to begin the journey southwest to Uganda, with a stop at the equator for some fantastic photography. Lunch will be enjoyed en route. Within a few hours, guests will arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park, ready for an evening game drive. This park is Uganda’s second-largest national park, neighboring the crater lakes Edwards and George, connected by the Kazinga Channel. Guests will check into their chosen lodge.
Chimpanzee Trek in the Kyambura Gorge and Boat Safari on the Kazinga Channel
Kazinga Channel - After an early breakfast, guests will depart for the stunning Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking. The reserve is situated in a 100m deep gorge, south of Queen Elizabeth Park and Lake Edward. Visitors should look out for birds residing by the riverine swamps and forest, such as herons, kingfishers, fish eagles, and more. After returning to the lodge for lunch, guests will enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. They will then drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Morning Game Drives and Transfer to Bwindi Forest
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After a very early breakfast, guests will embark on an early morning game drive through the park. Possible wildlife sightings include lions, buffaloes, kobs, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs, and others. The journey will continue towards the Ishasha River, south of the park, known for its tree-climbing lions. Guests will reach Bwindi Forest by evening and check into their selected accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After an early breakfast, guests will proceed with a packed lunch and a bottle of water into the tropical rainforest for a gorilla trekking activity. A briefing by ranger officials will precede the trek into the forest. The trek is unpredictable and may last up to 6 or more hours. Guests will observe these magnificent creatures as they feed, play, and communicate, capturing photos along the way. Dinner and overnight stay will be as the previous night.
Transfer to Entebbe International Airport
Entebbe - This day is set aside for the transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe, with lunch provided en route.
