Arrival and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park with En-route Ziwa Rhino Tracking

Murchison Falls National Park - Upon arrival, guests will be warmly greeted by a company representative who will pick them up from Entebbe International Airport or their accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala. They will then be transferred to Murchison Falls National Park via the Kampala – Gulu highway, with a stop at Nakasongola for Rhino tracking. This is one of the few places where Rhinos can be tracked on foot. Previously, the country had several Rhinos in various ecosystems, but due to poaching and other factors, their numbers dwindled until they were reintroduced. Lunch will be served at Amuka Lodge before proceeding to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game Drives and Afternoon Boat Cruise to the Bottom of the Falls

Murchison Falls National Park - Start the day early with a cup of coffee before heading to the park to spot morning wildlife along the northern bank of Pakuba through the park’s well-laid game tracks. This is when animals are most active, either grazing or hunting. Expect to see lions, jackals, hyenas, leopards, African elephants, African buffaloes, oribi, Rothschild’s giraffes, waterbucks, and bushbucks, among others. Return to the lodge for lunch, followed by an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. The cruise passes by pale granite along the banks, with sunbathing Nile crocodiles and hippos adding to the experience. The roaring sound of the river enhances the journey, which lasts 2-3 hours. Guests will then meet their guide for a transfer back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Departure

Entebbe - After a morning breakfast, guests will check out of the lodge and be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for their international flight home. The drive takes approximately +/-6 hours to reach the chosen destination.
