Inspire African Safaris - Begin your day with breakfast before setting off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The park can be reached from Kampala via tarmac roads through Mbarara (420 km) or Fort Portal via Kasese (410 km). The journey from Kampala to the park takes approximately 5 to 6 hours on the tarmac road through Mbarara.
Traveling along the Mbarara highway, there will be a stop at the equator for photography, followed by lunch in Mbarara municipality. Continue the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in the afternoon to embark on an afternoon or evening boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. An early morning departure from Kampala is necessary for this schedule.
The boat cruise offers a chance to observe wildlife in their natural habitat, including buffalo, elephants, and other animals residing in the grassland thickets of Northern Kazinga near Mweya. The best location to spot lions is in the eastern part of the Kasenyi plains and along the Kasese road, where they hunt the abundant Uganda Kobs.
Dinner and overnight stay at Engiri Safari Lodge.
Kazinga Channel - Enjoy a boat game cruise in the park, witnessing Uganda’s wildlife such as elephants, antelopes, lions, cape buffaloes, and thousands of hippos.
Game Drive and Return to Kampala
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector, where you will encounter a variety of both small and large game. With wonderful memories from the previous day, check out of the lodge. You may choose to participate in a primate walk in the park. Enjoy lunch along the way and make a stop at Mpambire Drum Centre to see local drum-making and purchase souvenirs. Continue to Kampala, where you will be dropped off at your hotel in the evening.
