Pick up & transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park - The remarkable gorilla and wildlife adventure begins at 6:30 am with a pick-up from your residence by the driver guide after breakfast. Embark on a 7-hour journey to the southwest of Uganda. There will be a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe, where you can learn fascinating facts about the 0° line, take memorable photos, and then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for lunch.
Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a launch cruise on the stunning Kazinga Channel. Expect to see herds of buffaloes, hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species, especially kingfishers, cormorants, egrets, and others. After the boat cruise, enjoy an evening game drive along the Channel track to observe wildlife in their evening routines. Continue to the lodge for an overnight stay.
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha Sector for tree-climbing Lions
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - The day begins with breakfast, followed by an early morning game drive along the Kasenyi track and Queen’s mile in the park. This offers picturesque views of the sunrise over the savanna plains, teeming with wildlife such as Cape buffaloes, elephants, topi, kobs, warthogs, waterbucks, hyenas, leopards, lions, and numerous birds.
After the game drive, continue the journey to Bwindi via Ishasha, keeping an eye out for the tree-climbing lions in this area. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the evening for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Ultimate gorilla trekking Safari
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After breakfast, your guide will drive you to the park’s headquarters by 7:20 am for registration and a briefing on gorilla trekking. Armed park rangers and porters will guide you through the bush, navigating the undergrowth and parting creepers to track the gorillas.
Upon locating the gorilla family, sit in the forest among them, listening to their communications and marveling at the impressive size of the dominant male, the silverback. It is an extraordinary experience to be in the presence of the few remaining Mountain Gorillas in the wild.
After an enchanting hour with the gorillas, embark on a scenic journey to Lake Bunyonyi to relax and enjoy breathtaking views of the 29 islands. Later, check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Drive back to Kampala or Kigali
Kampala - At 8:00 am, check out and begin the 7-hour drive back to Entebbe. A lunch stop will be made en route, either in Mbarara town at the Igongo Cultural Centre or at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe. After lunch, continue the journey to Entebbe.
