Kibale National Park - Start your gorilla and savannah safari with an early breakfast before heading west through lush tea plantations and rolling hills to Fort Portal town. Here, enjoy a lunch stop before continuing to Kibale National Park. Upon arrival and hotel check-in, embark on a guided nature walk through the dense papyrus of Magombe Swamp, part of the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on the edge of Kibale Forest National Park. During the walk, you may spot up to 138 bird species, including the Great Blue Turaco, various butterflies, and seven monkey species, such as red colobus, grey-cheeked Mangabey, L’Hoest, varved, black and white colobus, blue monkey, and baboons.
Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
Queen Elizabeth National Park - After an early breakfast, transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority park headquarters for a briefing before trekking to see the fascinating chimps in Kibale Forest. Spend an hour observing their amusing gestures, facial expressions, and daring tree leaps. After the trek, drive south along the Rwenzori Mountain chain to the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping at the equator line for lunch. Upon arrival, enjoy an evening game drive through the explosion crater-lake fields, where you may see elephants, Uganda kob, bushbuck, and baboon troops.
Game Drive and Launch Cruise on the Kazinga Channel
Queen Elizabeth National Park - Depart for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, aiming to spot lions hunting. The plains are ideal for tracking lion prides hunting the game herds. Expect to see elephants, buffalo, warthogs, bushbuck, waterbuck, and large herds of Uganda kobs, accompanied by a Uganda Wildlife Authority guide skilled in lion tracking. After lunch, explore the Kazinga Channel on a water safari, connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. On the boat cruise, look for elephants, buffalo, warthogs, and waterbucks cooling off along the riverbanks.
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Exit Queen Elizabeth National Park through the Ishasha Plains in its southern sector for another thrilling game drive. Ishasha is renowned for its tree-climbing lions seeking cool breezes. After the game drive, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - With an early breakfast and packed lunch, transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla tracking, starting at 8:00 am. Guided into the jungle, track the elusive primates. The trek duration varies from 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on the gorillas’ overnight location. Once you find the gorilla family, spend an hour observing them feed, socialize, and display their skills.
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Lake Mburo National Park - After breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, traveling through winding roads, farmlands, and forests. The park features beautiful acacia savannah terrain and woodlands. Upon arrival, embark on a game drive to spot warthog, impala, zebras, oribi, leopard, and various savannah bird species, including lapwings, hornbills, and coqui francolin. The park is also home to the eland, Africa’s largest antelope, found only here and in Kidepo Valley National Park. After dinner, enjoy a nocturnal game drive with a ranger, using a spotlight to search for species like the genet cat, warthog, hippos, spotted hyena, and the elusive leopard.

Entebbe - On the final day, enjoy a guided walking safari in Lake Mburo National Park. Accompanied by an expert guide, explore the park on foot, observing wildlife up close and learning about the ecosystem and conservation efforts. After the walk, begin the journey back to Entebbe, stopping at the Uganda Equator for a memorable photo opportunity and to learn about this global landmark’s significance. The drive concludes in Entebbe, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation or the airport, concluding your safari adventure.
