Machhakhola - The Manaslu Circuit Trek kicks off with an early morning drive to Machha Khola in a comfortable deluxe bus. The journey follows the scenic Trishuli and Budi Gandaki Rivers, showcasing beautiful views of lush green valleys, charming villages, and vibrant local life. Traveling with local passengers adds an authentic touch to the experience. Upon arrival at Machha Khola, you’ll be greeted by tranquil riverside views — an ideal spot to relax and unwind after the drive. Overnight accommodation will be at a cozy local lodge.
Maccha Khola to Jagat (1,410m): 6 – 7 hrs
Jagat - From Machha Khola, the trek follows an easier trail lined with wild marijuana plants towards Khorlabesi. The path descends into the stunning Budhi Gandaki gorge, along ancient yak caravan routes framed by striking black rock formations. After crossing Tatopani, with its waterfalls and farm fields, the village of Dovan offers glimpses of Manaslu. Continuing through Yaruphant, the journey reaches Jagat, where entry into the Manaslu Conservation Area is completed.
Jagat to Deng (1,804m): 6 – 7 hrs
Philim - From Sirdibas, the trek crosses the Ghatte Khola and passes several chortens and monasteries to reach Philim. This prosperous village, surrounded by terraced fields, provides a wonderful insight into the culture and daily life of the Manaslu region.
Deng to Namrung (2,630m): 6 – 7 hrs
Namrung - The trek continues through lush forests of lichens and pine trees, arriving at Namrung — a serene village often referred to as the “Nepali version of Tibet.” Here, one can fully experience authentic Tibetan culture, language, and traditions, set against a peaceful Himalayan backdrop.
Namrung to Lho (3,180m): 4 hrs
Lho to Samagaon (3,530m): 4 hrs
Samagaun - Descending from Shyala, the trek arrives at Samagaon, a peaceful and spiritual village nestled in a stunning landscape. Samagaon is the perfect place to rest, with a rich cultural ambiance and incredible views of the surrounding mountains. It’s a quiet haven, offering the perfect blend of natural beauty and traditional Tibetan culture.
Hike to Pungyen Gompa: 6 – 7 hours exploration
Samagaon to Samdo (3,860m): 4 – 5 hours
Samdo to Dharamsala [4460m): 4 – 5 hours
Dharamsala to Larkya la Pass (5160m) to Bimthang (3720m): 8 – 9 hours
Bimthang - Bimthang offers a well-deserved rest after crossing the Larkya Pass. This picturesque village is surrounded by stunning landscapes and is an ideal spot to relax and acclimatize. It marks the end of one of the most challenging days on the trek, providing a serene environment to unwind and prepare for the next stage of the journey.
Bimthang to Tilije (2300m): 5 – 6 hours
Tilije – Tal (1700m): 5 – 6 hours
Tal – Besisahar- Kathmandu 8-9 hours driving
Besisahar - From Tal, the descent to Besisahar is followed by a long drive back to Kathmandu. The route retraces the earlier path.
