Dornogovi Province - • After breakfast, continue to Khamriin Khiid Monastery, a land of Shambala founded by the 18th-century charismatic religious leader and poet Danzanravjaa. He specifically chose this location, believing it radiated supernatural energy cultivated in the Gobi. Unfortunately, Communist repression heavily impacted the monastery, leading to its destruction in 1937. Restoration efforts began in 1992, and several temples have been successfully rebuilt in recent years.
