A Life-Changing Journey Through Mongolia – Perfectly Organized by Amicus Travel - I recently spent one unforgettable week exploring Mongolia with Amicus Travel, and I can confidently say it was the most remarkable travel experience of my life. From the first email inquiry to the final airport drop-off, every detail was handled with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. Seamless Planning & Communication Before I even set foot in Ulaanbaatar, the Amicus team impressed me with quick, clear communication and thoughtful itinerary planning. They listened carefully to my interests—cultural immersion, nature, and a bit of adventure—and customized a trip that exceeded all expectations. Every transfer, meal, and activity ran like clockwork, allowing me to simply relax and enjoy Mongolia. Immersive Nomadic Experiences The highlight was staying with a nomadic family in a traditional yurt (ger). This was not a tourist show but an authentic window into daily life on the steppe. We shared meals, helped with chores, and even joined them on motorcycle rides across the endless plains. Riding horses through the Orkhon Valley as the sun set behind the mountains felt like stepping back in time. Breathtaking Destinations Amicus curated an itinerary that balanced cultural sites and natural wonders perfectly: • Erdene Zuu Monastery & Kharkhorin – a deep dive into Mongolia’s rich history. • Orkhon Valley – sweeping landscapes, waterfalls, and a sense of peace that photos can’t capture. • Hustai National Park – where I was lucky enough to watch the legendary wild Takhi horses in their natural habitat. • Terelj National Park – dramatic rock formations, serene rivers, and the chance to sleep in a beautifully kept ger with underfloor heating. The Heart of the Trip – Our Guide Billy I must give special praise to Billy, the company’s manager and my guide for the week. Billy is, without exaggeration, the best Mongolian person alive. His knowledge of history, culture, and wildlife is encyclopedic, but what truly sets him apart is his kindness and dedication. Anything I asked for—no matter how small—he arranged immediately. Whether it was an impromptu photo stop, a last-minute snack run, or simply sharing stories around the campfire, Billy made every moment richer and more memorable. Professionalism with a Personal Touch Traveling in a vast country like Mongolia can feel daunting, but Amicus Travel turned it into pure happiness. Comfortable transportation, excellent meals, spotless accommodations, and a team that genuinely cares about their guests—all combined to create an experience that felt effortless yet profound.

A fabulous day trip - I’m so glad my friends and I chose this day trip with Amicus. It was 5 star from start to finish. We were collected by our fabulous guide Mobby right on time, piled into our modern car with an amazing excellent driver and off we went. A coffee stop was no drama. Everywhere we visited was super interesting and enhanced greatly by Mobby’s knowledge of all things Mongolian. Mobby’s English was excellent and she was so patient with our endless questions. Can 100% recommend this tour and company.

Beautiful country, Friendly people, Excellent service, Exceptional guide and driver - An absolutely fantastic experience, everything arranged on very short notice and everything was perfect. Our guide Delgermaa (Dema) and driver Erka couldn’t have done more to make the trip more memorable and exactly what we wanted. The national parks are fantastic, our accommodation was beyond our expectations and certainly is recommendable. We are so happy with the short tour arranged by Amicus we are already booking for a much longer tour later this year, such a beautiful country and excellent experience to good to miss the opportunity to explore further and see more.

Finally met expectations. Go with a different company. - Tour minimally met expectations. All the boxes were checked/ though we had to ask. Guide was on the phone as soon as we were picked up. He apologized and said he was the general manager and didn’t usually do tours. You would think he would be the best. Not so. Billy you might be a great GM but a big fail as a guide. He was on the phone constantly. We felt like we were an inconvenience to his busy day. He would answer any questions but offered very little else. Never mentioned any of the optional activities specified in the itinerary. Even though we told him we didn’t need to go see the giant metal statue of Chinggis- opening up additional time for optional activities. Optional activities had 60 minutes on the itinerary we had to ask about the cashmere factory store and he was surprised that was even an option- had to show him the itinerary. Very disappointing and would highly recommend going with a different company.
