• Elsen Tasarkhai - In the Semi-Gobi region, visitors will stop at a local nomadic family’s home to experience genuine Mongolian culture. The hosts will provide lunch.
• Next, guests will reach the sand dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai, the local name for the Semi-Gobi, where they will have the opportunity to ride two-humped Bactrian camels around the dunes.
• Finally, travelers can enjoy hiking and exploring various sand dunes and small desert forests in the area.
• Kharkhorin - After visiting the Semi-Gobi, the journey continues to the ancient capital of the Mongolian Empire, Kharakorum, where guests will stay at a small hotel.
• Erdene Zuu Monastery - Erdene-Zuu is the oldest surviving Buddhist temple in Mongolia. The entire monastery complex was closed during the 1930s Communist Purge and later converted into a museum. Towards the end of Communism, one of the buildings was rededicated as a Buddhist temple.
• Erdenesant - On the return trip to Ulaanbaatar, the route passes through this town.
• Kharakhorum Museum - The Kharakhorum Museum is a small museum rich with information, offering an extensive history of this unique area of Mongolia.

• From Ulaanbaatar to Semi-Gobi is 280km. We will be on the road 3.5 hours for each way, which means we will be in the car for 7 hours total.
