Ulaanbaatar - On this day, the tour guide and driver will collect guests from their hotel at 9:00 a.m. to embark on a full-day city tour of Ulaanbaatar.
The first destination is Gandantegchinlen Monastery, the most significant Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, where visitors can admire the impressive Megjid Janraisig Buddha statue. Next, the tour proceeds to the Zaisan Memorial, which offers panoramic views of the city.
The journey continues to the Bogd Khan Winter Palace Museum, the former residence of Mongolia’s last king, followed by a visit to Sükhbaatar Square, the heart of the capital.
Guests will then explore the National Museum of Mongolia to learn about the country’s history, culture, and traditions. To conclude the day, enjoy a one-hour traditional Mongolian folk concert, featuring throat singing, traditional instruments, and folk dances.
After the concert, guests will be transferred back to their hotel, marking the end of the city tour.
Elsen - Tasarkhai Semi-Desert
Elsen Tasarkhai Sand Dune - Today, the tour guide and driver will pick up guests from their hotel and drive to the Elsen Tasarkhai semi-desert and the Khugnu Khan Natural Reserve. Kharkhorin - After a hearty breakfast at the tourist camp, guests drive approximately 70 km to the ancient capital city of Kharkhorin. In 1220, the great Chinggis Khaan declared Kharkhorin the capital of his vast empire. Today, visitors can explore the fascinating remains of this once-great city, including the legendary stone turtle sculptures, ancient Buddhist stupas, and archaeological ruins that highlight its historical importance.
The tour then visits Erdene Zuu Monastery, the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, established in 1586. The monastery continues to preserve its former glory, featuring priceless religious artifacts, impressive monastery walls, and beautifully crafted examples of traditional Mongolian Buddhist art.
Khorgo Volcano & Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur/ White Lake
Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park - The exploration continues at Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, formed when lava from the Khorgo Volcano dammed the Suman River, creating a natural basin surrounded by basalt formations. The lake’s serene setting makes it an excellent spot for nature walks, birdwatching, and fishing, offering a peaceful and scenic experience in the heart of Mongolia’s volcanic region.

Khuvsgul Lake - Today, the journey leads to Khuvsgul Lake, the deepest and purest lake in Mongolia. Often referred to as the Blue Pearl of Mongolia, the lake is near the Siberian border and is surrounded by pristine forests, mountains, and crystal-clear waters, creating some of the country’s most breathtaking scenery.
Upon arrival, guests enjoy trekking along the lakeshore and nearby mountain trails, offering excellent opportunities for photography and nature exploration. This area is rich in wildlife and diverse plant life, allowing visitors to experience the unique flora and fauna of the Khuvsgul Lake region while soaking in its peaceful and unspoiled atmosphere.
Leisure Day at Khuvsgul Lake
Khuvsgul Lake - This morning, guests will proceed on horseback to the Khuvsgul Lake area and walk around the lake. There may be a chance to see reindeer and capture a memorable picture of an unforgettable experience. If desired, guests can rent a canoe to travel to Khusliin Khad “Wishing Rock” Island, making time fly by quickly.

Amarbayasgalant Monastery - After breakfast, the drive leads to Amarbayasgalant Monastery, one of Mongolia’s largest and most renowned Buddhist monasteries, beautifully set in the Iven River Valley at the foot of Mount Burenkhan.
Historically, the monastery was a major center of Buddhist learning and spiritual practice, home to more than six thousand novice and fully ordained monks. It played a significant role in the transmission of Dharma teachings, strictly following the Vinaya of Lord Buddha and harmoniously integrating the Three Baskets (Tripiṭaka) with the Three Higher Trainings—ethics, meditation, and wisdom.
Renowned for its exquisite decorations, refined architectural design, and serene natural setting, Amarbayasgalant Monastery is considered one of the most magnificent Buddhist architectural monuments not only in Mongolia but in all of Asia.
Drive Back to the City / The End of the Tour
Ulaanbaatar - After a hearty breakfast this morning, the journey begins with an approximately 350 km drive back to Ulaanbaatar, with a lunch stop along the way. Arrival in the city is expected in the late afternoon, around 4:00–5:00 p.m., and guests will be transferred to their hotel.
