Riohacha - Cabo de la Vela

Uribia - The Cabo de la Vela Tour departs from Riohacha at 8:30 am, traveling north towards the vast Guajira desert. The journey includes a stop in Uribia, recognized as the indigenous capital of Colombia, where visitors can admire a variety of Wayú cultural handicrafts.

Salinas de Manaure - The tour continues to Manaure, home to Colombia’s largest salt complex. Here, participants will observe the salt extraction process and gain insight into this vital regional industry.

Cabo de la Vela - The next stop is Cabo de la Vela, where the group will arrive in the early afternoon for lunch and an introduction to the unique desert-sea ecosystem. The itinerary includes a visit to the stunning Playa Dorada and a walk to the lighthouse, offering a breathtaking sunset view. The day concludes at a traditional Wayuu hotel (ranchería), where guests will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in hammocks.

Cabo de la Vela - Riohacha

Pilon de Azucar - The morning begins with a delightful breakfast, followed by a visit to Pilón de Azúcar beach. Guests will also have the opportunity to climb a small mountain for a spectacular view of the desert and sea at Cabo de la Vela.

Cabo de La Vela - The tour returns to the accommodation for lunch before heading back to Riohacha.
