Cusco to Ollantaytambo by Bus, then Train to KM 104

Inca Trail - Day 1
The journey begins with a scheduled pick-up from the hotel. The group will travel by bus to Ollantaytambo, where the train awaits to take them to KM 104. Upon arrival, they will pass through the control to enter the Inca Trail. The trek offers breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley. After a 4-hour hike, a delicious lunch prepared by an international chef will be served. The journey continues to Wiñaywayna for a rest before proceeding to Machu Picchu, marking the first day on the Inca route. The day concludes with a bus descent to Aguas Calientes, where the hotel is ready for check-in. After settling in, the staff will inform the group of the meeting point for dinner.

Chachabamba - On the second day, after an early breakfast, the group will visit Machu Picchu, enjoying stunning views as some of the first visitors of the day. The guided tour lasts approximately 3 hours, after which there is free time to explore Aguas Calientes before returning to Cusco.

Machu Picchu Full Day

Machu Picchu Cusco - Breakfast is served from 4:30 AM, followed by boarding the first bus to Machu Picchu at 5:20 AM. The park opens at 6:00 AM. A guided tour of Machu Picchu, lasting 2-3 hours, is led by an expert guide. Visitors can explore remarkable sites such as the Royal Mausoleum, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Main Temple, the Sacred Plaza, and the famous Intihuatana, where the wise Incas tied the sun during the winter solstice in June, along with stairways, plazas, and fountains. Typically, there are 5-6 hours of free time afterward. During high season, train schedules may vary. After the tour, there is a 1-hour walk down to Aguas Calientes, with an option to take a bus. There is free time to explore the charming village before boarding the train back to Cusco. The train departs Aguas Calientes in the afternoon at 2:30 PM to Ollantaytambo, followed by a bus to Cusco at 6:30 PM or 7:00 PM, arriving back in Cusco by 10:30 PM.
