Inca Trail - The classic Inca Trail adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Cusco (between 4:00–5:00 AM), or from Urubamba or Ollantaytambo at a pre-arranged time. The journey takes you on a 1.5-hour drive through the Sacred Valley to Km 82, the official start of the Inca Trail. After meeting the crew and crossing the Urubamba River, the trek commences.
Today’s hike is relatively gentle, meandering through stunning Andean landscapes and significant archaeological sites. The group will visit Patallacta, an important Inca complex with administrative, economic, and religious roles, and the nearby military outpost of Willkarakay. The trail then leads into the lush Wayllabamba Valley, following the Cusichaca River, and continues through dense forest until reaching the first campsite in Wayllabamba.

WAYLLABAMBA – DEAD WOMENS PASS – PACAYMAYU
Inca Trail - The day starts early to reach the highest point of the Inca Trail: Warmihuañusca (Dead Woman’s Pass). The morning hike is challenging due to the altitude but offers some of the most breathtaking views. The trek begins with a 1.5-hour hike through dense vegetation to Tres Piedras camp for a brief rest. As the ascent continues, the landscape transforms into the inter-Andean forest, home to native Unca trees. Two hours later, the group arrives at Llulluchapampa for a rest with snacks and hot drinks.
From there, the final climb to Warmihuañusca begins, providing stunning views of the surrounding valleys. The descent then takes a few hours to reach the campsite at Pacaymayu.

PACAYMAYU – CHAQUIKOCHA – WIÑAYHUAYNA
Winay Wayna - The day begins with a 45-minute uphill trek to the Runkurakay archaeological site, once a rest lodge for Inca travelers. After another 45-minute ascent, the group reaches the second highest pass, Runkurakay. The trail then descends to Sayacmarca, strategically built in its location.
After visiting, the journey continues to Chaquicocha for lunch. From there, the trail enters the high Andean cloud forest, showcasing the beauty of nature. The path follows a ridge to the Phuyupatamarca pass, offering views of the Sacred Valley and surrounding peaks.
Finally, the trail descends past an important archaeological site and a temple for sacred offerings, reaching the last campsite at Wiñayhuayna.

WIÑAY WAYNA – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Machu Picchu - The day starts early to complete the final stretch of the Inca Trail, reaching “Inti Punku” (Sun Gate), the main entrance to Machu Picchu. The walk is easy and offers breathtaking views of the site.
Afterward, the group descends for 45 minutes to the upper area of Machu Picchu, where the famous photo and a group picture can be taken. Then, the group enters for registration and begins a two-hour guided tour of the site.
An optional hike up Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain is available (additional cost and advance booking required). In the afternoon, the group takes the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch and receives return train tickets to Cusco. The staff will pick up the group in Ollantaytambo to return to the hotel.
